Thank you to Delta Specialty Hospital for hosting today’s Lunch & Learn. We appreciate CEO Stephanie Reese and her team—Director Rosalind House and staff member Hershel James—for taking the time to share valuable information about the services they provide for mental health consumers in our community.

Delta Specialty Hospital offers treatment for adults 18+, utilizing evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), family therapy, and other supportive services designed to promote healing and recovery.

They also offer a Dual Diagnosis Unit, providing specialized care for individuals experiencing both mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

We appreciate their commitment to expanding access to quality mental health care and resources in our community.

Today Mental Health Court held a graduation for 9 participants that completed their program. Each graduate gave personal testimonies on how impactful the program was to their life. Clerk Tami Sawyer and Entrepreneur/friend of the court CeCe Glenn both gave remarks while congratulating the graduates. We also had a visit from Commissioner Mickell Lowery and Will Frazier. Huge thanks to Case Management Inc for hosting lunch after the ceremony. Board members Krista Holder Williams Keevia Porter-Carson and Henry Kenworthy were also present.

Today Leaders Credit Union, Dr. Marie N. Feagins former Superintendent , Clerk Tami Sawyer and DrSonia Thomas Chief Nursing officer(CNO) of the Health Department visited Mental Health Court. Once a month Leaders comes and host lunch and Learn for the participants in our program. Financial literacy is a key component of being a functioning and productive citizen in society.
