In 1962 he founded St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to advance cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. From the very start, his vision was simple: to ensure that no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay. Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, St. Jude is now one of the world's leading pediatric cancer research institutions. Designated as a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center, it is the first and only cancer center solely focused on children. Since its opening, the center has achieved some of the best overall survival rates for pediatric cancer worldwide. Among the best in their field, St. Jude researchers and physicians have led a number of world-renowned pediatric treatment programs. Today, the hospital holds more clinical trials than any other children's hospital in the country and has one of the world's leading pediatric brain tumor programs. In addition, St. Jude is home to one of the largest sickle cell disease programs in the nation, the very first program in the world to discover a cure for the disease. Happy National Dog Day to the most professional good boys and girls 🐕

At work, they help our patients and families through animal-assisted therapy by reducing stress and providing unconditional love and support.

In their off time, they love playing ball, going on hikes, eating their favorite snacks and snuggling on the couch.

Before their show, the band took time to meet Patients Valentina and Jeritza backstage, and it wasn’t just a visit, it was a jam session!

Instruments were played, smiles were shared, and memories were made. Thank you for all you do to brighten the lives of St. Jude kids.
