Most people think these are just benches…

They’re not.

They’re actually pieces of art created by Dionicio Rodriguez, the same artist behind the Crystal Grotto.

Even on a rainy day, these old trees and his handcrafted benches make this garden feel like a place you’re supposed to stop… not rush through.

That’s the beauty of Memorial Park.

🌿 Fun fact: Rodriguez became famous for creating faux bois art. Turning ordinary concrete into benches, bridges, and structures that looked like they grew naturally from the ground.

This spot might feel familiar… and there’s a reason why.

This is Fountain Crest at Memorial Park.

Look at the design, the layout, the way the fountain sits in the center…

It was actually inspired by the fountain at Graceland.

A small detail but one that connects this space to a piece of Memphis history.

Did you recognize the influence right away… or does it surprise you?

👇

🌿 Fun fact: The artist behind this area intentionally designed Fountain Crest to reflect the style of Graceland’s fountain. Blending Memorial Park with one of Memphis’ most iconic landmarks.

This is one of those spots people don’t expect…

They walk through the garden
and then they stop here.

look out over everything…
and just take a breath.

These benches aren’t just placed randomly,
they’re part of the experience.

If you were here right now…
what would you be thinking about?

👇

🌿 Fun fact: Memorial Park was designed with intentional “pause points” like this — areas where families can sit, reflect, and spend time… not just pass through.

Most people focus on how this place looks…

But not how it was actually created.

This is Part 3 of the Crystal Grotto at Memorial Park.

Take a closer look at the details…

every texture, every surface, every piece was carefully placed to create what you’re seeing.

But here’s something most people don’t realize

👇

💎 Fun fact: The entire Grotto was crafted by an artist who specialized in illusion. Turning ordinary materials into something that feels completely real.

Does this feel more like art… or something natural?

👇

Most people don’t realize how personal this can actually be…

These are our glass niches at Memorial Park.

Instead of something hidden away.
Families can create a space that tells a story.

Photos. Keepsakes. Memories.
All in one place.

And what makes it even more special

These niches are being placed inside our historic Carriage House, giving families the chance to be part of a piece of Memorial Park’s history… while telling their own story at the same time.

🤔 Now I’m curious

If you were creating a space like this…
what would you put inside?

👇

04/17/2026

For 14 years… no one knew what was being built here.

Anytime someone got close,
the artist would cover everything up and keep it hidden.

No previews.
No explanations.

For years, it was a mystery.

Until one day… it wasn’t.

And this is what was revealed.

Kind of makes you look at it differently, doesn’t it?

Most people walk right past this… and don’t realize what it is.

This is Annie Laurie’s Wishing Chair at Memorial Park.

There’s a quiet tradition behind it. People stop, sit for a moment, and make a wish.

No one tells you to…
you just kind of feel it when you’re there.

So now I’m curious.

If you were sitting here right now…
what would you wish for?

👇

🌿 Fun fact: Spots like this were intentionally placed throughout Memorial Park to give families moments to pause, reflect, and feel something… not just visit and leave.

04/17/2026

There’s something different about this area…

It’s quieter.
More personal.

This is our Companion Garden. A place designed for two people who chose to stay close, even here.

Take a second and look at it…

What kind of feeling does it give you?

👇

🌿 Fun fact: Memorial Park was designed by E. Clovis Hinds to feel more like a garden than a graveyard. Which is why spaces like this feel peaceful instead of heavy.

04/16/2026

If I told you this was inside a cemetery…
you probably wouldn’t believe me.

This is the Crystal Grotto at Memorial Park.

And pictures (or even this video) don’t really do it justice.

💎 Fun fact: Every crystal you see inside was individually placed, creating one of the most unique spaces you’ll ever walk through.

You kind of have to experience it for yourself to understand it.

04/15/2026

Most people have no idea how many different gardens are inside Memorial Park.

Each one has its own feel… its own story.

What garden do you think this is?

12/12/2025
