Amid these times of profound challenge, Planned Parenthood is looking ahead to a new tomorrow shaped by those we serve, and we want to hear from you. PPTNM is excited to present the Pink Horizon Listening Tour featuring our affiliate's President and CEO Ashley Coffield, who will travel throughout Tennessee and North Mississippi to listen to supporters as we work toward a brighter future together. The tour's first stops will be in East Tennessee in the following counties:

August 4 - Blount County
August 5 - Knox County
August 6 - Sevier County
August 7 - Anderson County
August 8 - Washington County

A woman in Jonesborough, Tennessee was recently denied prenatal care by her physician who refused to treat her because she was unmarried—despite the fact that she and her partner have been together for 15 years. We fought the Medical Ethics Defense Act when it was before the legislature last spring because we knew it would lead to the disruption of necessary care for patients all across Tennessee.

Marital status should not determine your ability to access essential care. At Planned Parenthood, we are fighting for everyone to be able to get the care they need, no matter what.

This malicious and cruel bill is the culmination of years of effort by the Trump administration to prevent people from accessing vital reproductive health care services like contraceptives, cancer screenings, and safe, legal abortion care.

We are heartbroken by the Supreme Court's decision to further erode patient rights. This decision may block Medicaid patients from getting cancer screenings, birth control, wellness exams — simple health care — from the providers they know and trust.

But the fight is far from over. Right now, Congress is considering a reconciliation bill that could potentially bar ALL Medicaid patients from receiving care at Planned Parenthood health centers.

Keep calling your members of Congress at (202) 224-3121 and tell them why protecting Planned Parenthood patients' access to basic health care is important to you.

Three years ago today, Roe v. Wade was overturned, ending our constitutional right to abortion. Here in Tennessee and in Mississippi, trigger bans in both states quickly and completely eliminated all access to safe, legal abortion care. But Planned Parenthood is still here. And we’re doing everything we can to ensure our patients have access to the full range of sexual and reproductive health services, including abortion care.
