Pelvic pain in women is one of the most frequently encountered problems in the typical practice of obstetrics and gynecology. At Women’s Health Specialists, we offer one-on-one private treatment with a licensed physical therapist right in our office. We pledge to continue to work with you, the patient, to do whatever we can in the diagnosis and treatment of your pain and to improve your quality of life.

During pregnancy, it is important to maintain good nutrition and adequate caloric intake. You should not be dieting during your pregnancy. The average caloric intake for a pregnant woman should be approximately 300 calories more per day than usual. If you don't gain an adequate amount of weight during your pregnancy, you run the risk of delivering a low birth weight infant.
On the same note, excess weight gain can lead to large babies (macrosomia) and result in traumatic deliveries. It is important to watch your weight gain closely during pregnancy
