Join us in welcoming Sydney Ford, our newest Nurse Practitioner!
Sydney spent most of her childhood in a small town outside of Dallas, TX then moved to New Boston for high school, where she graduated in 2016. She studied for 2 semesters at UT Tyler before transferring to the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2020. Sydney began her nursing career with nearly 2 years working on the oncology floor of Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. She then gained experience in the clinic setting at an outpatient behavioral health clinic before relocating to Northwest Arkansas in 2022. Once back in Arkansas, Sydney spent another two years in the clinic setting at Highlands Oncology in Springdale working as the clinic nurse for a surgical gynecologic oncology team. It was during this time that Sydney decided to further her education and apply to the Harding University Family Nurse Practitioner program. Sydney enrolled in the Harding FNP program in 2022 while working full time and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 2025.
Sydney joined the Mena Medical Associates family in July of 2025. She moved to Mena from Northwest Arkansas with her husband Luke, who is a Physical Therapist at Mena Regional’s outpatient clinic. Sydney is a proud pet mom of her two doodles, Jackson and Remi, and her black cat, Blue. She enjoys reading, drinking coffee, riding bicycles, playing pickleball, decompressing with retail therapy, indulging in the occasional reality tv show, and exploring the outdoors.
Sydney pursued a career in nursing with the hope that she could make meaningful differences in people’s everyday lives.
“My journey in healthcare has already been so fulfilling, and has allowed me to combine my love for science and my passion for providing patient-centered care into one career”.
Sydney is looking forward to serving the community of Mena and is excited to be joining the MMA team!
