Back-to-School Reset: Kaylynn's Tips for Kids AND Parents
The start of a new school year can be exciting....and a little hectic. Here are some quick, practical tips to keep everyone happy, healthy, and ready to thrive in their new school year:
🍽 Lunchbox Boosters
Add healthy fats & proteins like cheese cubes, nut butter packets, or hummus to keep kids fueled all day. Kaylynn also recommends a handful of pumpkin seeds (zinc + magnesium), berries (antioxidants) or a boiled egg (choline). Brain food is real!
🍳 Protein-Packed Breakfasts
Swap sugary cereals for options like scrambled eggs with veggies, Greek yogurt with berries, or overnight oats with chia seeds.
🛌 Bedtime Rituals
Start winding down 30-45 minutes before bed: dim lights, turn off screens, read together, or practice deep breathing.
🦸♀️ Parental Burnout Busters 🦸♂️
Build in 10-15 minutes of "me time" daily - whether it's coffee on the porch, a short walk, or listening to your favorite podcast. Small moments add up. But if you're feeling overwhelmed, you don't have to figure it out alone. Kaylynn's door is always open.
🔔 Bonus Tip! 🔔
Transition gradually. Start bedtime, wake-up, and meal routines a week before school begins to make mornings easier.
Wishing you a year of learning, laughter, and balance for the whole family!! 💛
