It hit me hard today… I slowed down and went where the mind and body wanted to go. I’ve been resisting strength training and cardio for years, they make me feel 🤢 and unmotivated . I let go of “you should” and did what I always do , think “outside the box” but today wasn’t that… it was finally doing what I’ve been teaching for years

For years I’ve been screaming from the rooftops… PT is not what you think it is.

8 years ago today, during one of the wildest winter storms, I had my successful VBAC…

I have to share the incredible experience we had with Dr. Bissinger. I wasn’t in full labor yet, but EMTs had informed us they couldn’t reach our home because of the storm if delivery happened. Panicked, we called our OB. Without hesitation he said, “Meet me at the hospital.” His shift didn’t even start until 7am the next morning — it was 6pm the night before.

Because there was a state of emergency, he walked the halls with me to help get labor going. He sat with my husband watching the Olympics, keeping us calm, never rushing us…just fully present, patient, and human.

We officially began our VBAC journey at 9:08am. After 6 hours of pushing, Jackie arrived at 2:18pm on 2.18.18. ✨

One of the most blessed, empowering days of my life. I love sharing this story because it reminds me how impactful true empathy in medicine can be.

My mind was blown when I connected this to nature and started noticing the patterns.

Over the last 6 years, there’s been a consistent influx of incontinence every winter.

I don’t get motivated to work out. Like… ever.

Social media can be a time suck. I get trapped but also realize the more honest I am with my post the more patients relate to me … vs how the hell do you make this look easy. Follow my process, it’s disorganized and chaotic but works!

I’ve scratched my head as to why do my clients still leak with jumping jacks… we’ve done it all! The realized the body needs to train to this super intense movement style… truth is most adductors (nerd alert) don’t know how to stretch and contract at the pace of the jumping jacks. Try running man instead of the crazy bun fix
