Anyone can do CPR, even if hands-only. Learn how to properly "push hard, push fast"...

Hands-Only CPR Can Save Lives. Most people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work or in a public location die because they don't receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene.

If you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of any tune that is 100 to 120 beats per minute, such as the classic disco song "Stayin' Alive".

We kept EMS Week fun going last night with some team communication and coordination games, as well as a tasty dinner. Oh yeah, and we had a business meeting where important squad stuff was discussed.

Our thanks to Wicker Basket, Chester Meat Market, Philly Pretzel Factory, Woodland Bakery, and McCools Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt for tasty treats this week (as well as our own in-house baker, Wendy)

Tonight we’ll be Mendham Commons talking to residents about bleeding control, AED usage and hands-only CPR, and what to expect should they even have need to call 911 for a medical emergency.

Celebrate our volunteers during EMS Week (May 18 - 24)!

EMS Week recognizes the professionalism and care offered by emergency medical service personnel across the nation, and we a proud to be part of this incredible group at the local level.

We are your neighbors, here for you, your family, friends, and visitors alike. You see us doing yard work, dropping kids off at school, walking the dog, and cheering at local sporting events.

And when you or a family member is having a medical emergency, we're the ones who show up to provide care.

The hours may suck a bit at times (and the pay is, well ... non-existent). But the personal rewards for helping our neighbors in times of need is nothing short of amazing.

It is with profound sadness that the Mendham Fire Department announces the passing of Ex-Chief C. David Crotsley.

Dave joined the Mendham Fire Department in 1964 and served with distinction for 60 years, including his tenure as Chief in 1982 and 1983. His dedication, leadership, and friendship left a lasting impact on all who had the honor of serving alongside him. He will be deeply missed by the entire Mendham Fire Department family and all who knew him.
