National Rubber Ducky Day at Allure of Mendota! 🦆

Our staff and residents had a quacking good time hunting for rubber duckies hidden throughout the facility! Each duck found could be cashed in for a prize, bringing smiles, laughter, and a little friendly competition along the way. 🦆

A house divided... but only until the snacks come out! 🧀🐻

We might not know who’s going to take home the "W" yet, but we do know one thing… the food at Allure of Mendota is always undefeated! We had a blast today hosting our own Bears vs. Packers showdown.

From spirited "friendly" debates to cheering on our favorite plays, the rivalry is real, but the community is even stronger. Whether you’re rocking the Green and Gold or the Navy and Orange, it’s all about enjoying the game (and the goodies!) together.

Today is a bittersweet New Year’s Eve at Allure of Mendota. 🥂✨

While we are gearing up for our New Year’s Eve Bash, we are also saying a very special goodbye.

After 37 years of incredible dedication, our wonderful housekeeper and laundry lady, Theresa Godina, is officially retiring!

Theresa has been the heart and soul of our halls for nearly four decades. Her hard work, kindness, and commitment to our residents have left an mark that won't soon be forgotten. Theresa, we hope your retirement is as bright and beautiful as the care you've given us all these years.

Christmas at Allure of Mendota has been so special this year and we have loved every second.

We want to extend a warm thank you to the MHS Alumni band that played beautiful Christmas music for us.

The day ending with an extra special surprise when the Grinch and Santa teamed up to give a gift to every resident!!! We took advantage of them working together and celebrated all together.

That’s what Christmas is about!

Big shoutout to the amazing FCA/InterAct group from MHS High School! They spread so much holiday cheer by dropping off shoebox gifts and cards for every resident and even treated us to some festive caroling! 🎶❤️

🌸 Another huge thank you to Floralcrest for the stunning poinsettias that made our facility shine this season. Your generosity and thoughtfulness mean the world to us! 💐💖

We are overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of generosity from our community. ✨

A huge shout-out to Roger & Kat Shell, IHCC Hospice, and the Leonard Family for spreading so much Christmas cheer. From thoughtful gifts to delicious treats, you’ve truly made our residents and staff feel special! 🎁🍬

We also want to share a very special thank you to Jackie Bruski. Because of her kindness, we were able to keep our annual “Ziggies Lunch” tradition alive in honor of her late husband, Ed Bruski. It’s a tradition that means the world to us. 🕊️❤️

There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than by celebrating the amazing people who make Allure of Mendota so special!

Our annual Staff Christmas Party was a blast! We spent the evening enjoying incredible food, laughing through a wild White Elephant gift exchange, and dressing up as our favorite holiday characters.
