Our Story
Our original name started off to be “The Balm Tree” and got its name because of our love for nature and because we started making balms and progressed to other bath and body products. We decided to change the name because for obvious reasons our last name is Shepard and we fell in love with soaping. Mara is the artisan who makes all the products herself. Mara have always loved crafting and was always an entrepreneur from lemonade stands to where we are today. With the help of her husband, they make an unstoppable force. Our bath and body line was born in 2015 when she was introduced to essential oils and we officially introduced our line of balms to the public 0n October of 2015. We are a husband and wife duo. Each product is 100% handmade, hand poured, and made with a lot of heart. Each label was printed by us and each packaging was hand crafted by us in a small city called Menifee, California. No preservatives are used, free from phthalate, natural, with quality fragrance and essential oils, free of junk so it’s good for your skin. We are cruelty free so we don’t do any testing on animals. We have friends and family who support us that have tested our products along with our very opinionated 6 year olds who tell it like it is and a sassy 12 year old who loves to test soap.
