Our Story
On August 17, 1963 Deborah Jean Foster was born, the fifth child of Shelton and Della Foster. However, there were complications on what should have been a happy day. As the years progressed it was apparent that Debbie would have severe and lifelong challenges. Born to amazing parents Debbie would receive the best of care through their lifelong commitment to her care.
After years of devoted care Shelton was diagnosed with Parkinsonโs Disease and Della the effects of aging. With three family members needing care, following the example of their parents the family rallied to their support. The siblings pitched in to assist in the care of our parents and Debbie. Through this process an organization was born, named for our parents. Today through The โShellaโ Foundation, Shella Care Management Services and Shella Home Care, Inc. hundreds of families receive support and assistance throughout Southern California.
Several hundred employees provide In Home Care and support touching hundreds more lives-all inspired by Debbieโs challenges and her parents devotion. Debbieโs tragic birth defects have inspired a movement proving once again that โall things work together for goodโ.
We are proud members of both the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce and Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce.
