Honoring all of our differences and the one thing that brings US together. Here’s to Women.
We believe that all women should live healthy, equal and pain-free lives. Sadly many women live with pelvic pain, spasms and weakness with the idea that this is “normal”.
Well, it's not and we are here to ensure that all of our patients leave our doors with results, knowledge and empowerment.
Have a great everyone!

Many patients ask if they should wear an abdominal binder postpartum? Abdominal binders or the practice of wrapping your abdomen may change the shape of your abdomen and appear to reduce the diastasis recti but does not functionally train the abdominal muscles and can have a negative impact on your pelvic floor. Your core comprises the diaphragm, abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles. Envision a soda can representing the core, with the top of the can as the diaphragm, abdominal muscles as the sides of the can and the pelvic floor as the bottom of the can. Wearing an abdominal binder is similar to squeezing the sides of the soda can, increasing the pressure in the upward and downward direction (pelvic floor). Most postpartum women experience pelvic floor weakness and that extra pressure from the abdominal binder can push on your pelvic organs (bladder, uterus, re**um) and increase your risk for pelvic organ prolapse. Training your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles to work together as a whole is the most effective treatment for diastasis recti, incontinence and postpartum recovery. We recommend working with a physical therapist that specializes in pelvic floor and postpartum recovery.

A study in 2015 investigated the extent of urinary incontinence 12 years after birth. Out of 3763 women, 37.9% had urinary incontinence at 3 months postpartum and 76% still had incontinence 12 years later.

👏DO👏 NOT👏 WAIT FOR YOUR INCONTINENCE TO IMPROVE SPONTANEOUSLY ON ITS OWN ‼️

Pelvic floor therapy is the first line treatment for most pelvic floor disorders and is effective in treating urinary incontinence.

How many squats do mothers perform in a day? Between picking up kids/toys and cleaning messes, it must be at least 1000. Poor squat mechanics can lead to back pain, knee pain, worsen diastasis recti (separation of abdominal muscles) and contribute to pelvic organ prolapse and hernia.
