Hello, colleagues and dental students. I am honored to serve as your CDA president in 2025.

I was born and raised in Paramount, California, where my parents taught me that there’s nothing you can’t accomplish with hard work. I earned a biology degree from CSU, Long Beach, and graduated from Georgetown University’s dental school in 1984. Afterward, I returned home and opened my practice, where I’ve been blessed to work with an amazing staff, providing quality care for our patients.

In the months ahead I’m eager to work with leaders across the state on the issues that matter to you the most: the broken dental benefit landscape, difficult economic factors such as the costs of education and running a practice, workforce shortages and ways to support each other through crises like the recent wildfires.

If you suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis, please make sure you visit your Dental Health Professionals regularly and your gums are healthy. Another research paper corroborates the bacteria, P.Gingivalis, the keystone pathogen of gum disease, with incidence of RA.
