“Looksmaxxing” is everywhere right now, especially among teens.

It starts with skincare and fitness… but can quickly turn into peptides, hormones, and unregulated treatments found online.

That’s where it gets concerning.

Many of these substances are not FDA-approved, not studied long-term, and are being used without medical guidance.

Focusing on health, nutrition, and skincare is one thing.
Self-prescribing powerful compounds is another.

I break down what’s actually happening and what parents (and patients) should know in my latest blog.

Capsular contracture is one of the most common complications seen with breast implants.

So can ADM or mesh actually reduce the risk?

The answer is not so simple.
Some studies show benefit, others are inconclusive, especially in cosmetic breast augmentation.

What matters most may not be the material used, but surgical technique, implant placement, and prevention strategies.

I break down the data and what it means for patients in my latest blog.

I am a big fan of creatine, particularly for middle aged men and women, people on GLPs. and vegan or vegetarians. With my work at I have researched all the studies of the importance of building muscle. Its effects on heart health, bone, muscle, and reducing dementia is impressive.

A few pearls:
1. Get German micronized creatine. It is third party tested and the most pure.
2. The powder is the most stable form. Sorry I love chewables but they just aren’t as good.
3. There are many misconceptions. Read my blogs on Biohackr site. It is safe and effective

Everyone is talking about “deep plane facelifts,” but what does that actually mean?

A facelift isn’t just about tightening skin. It involves lifting deeper layers like the SMAS and addressing volume loss.

The reality?
Different techniques may sound very different, but often deliver similar results.

What matters most is the overall approach and what your face actually needs.

I break it all down in my latest blog.

Low BMI and poor nutrition can increase surgical risk, including higher complication rates and slower healing.

Research continues to support this:
• Low food access is linked to more complications
• Low Vitamin D is tied to higher infection rates
• Poor protein intake impacts healing and scars

Your body needs fuel to recover. Surgery is only part of the process, healing is the rest.

I break down the science and what you should be doing before surgery in my latest blog.

We often talk about the risks of surgery for patients with higher BMI, but what about patients who are underweight?

This is something I’ve been seeing more often, and it’s important to address. Being underweight can significantly increase surgical risk, sometimes even more than obesity. Research shows higher complication rates, longer recovery times, and even increased mortality in patients with low BMI.

For elective procedures, safety always comes first. If your body doesn’t have the reserves it needs to heal, surgery may not be the right step right now.

I wrote a new blog breaking down the science behind this, what BMI actually means, and why proper nutrition and overall health are so important before surgery.

Does TXA increase complications in facelift surgery?
Recent research says no. A new study published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal found no increase in wound healing issues, while also highlighting potential benefits like reduced bleeding and shorter operative time.

I share my take and what this means for patients considering facial rejuvenation.
