Bart Charles Roubal, 61, formerly of Menominee, MI passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in his home town of Wickenburg, AZ. He was born in Menominee on January 6, 1965 to the late Donald and Rose Mary (Linsmeier) Roubal. Bart graduated from Stephenson High School class of 1983. He married the former Lisa Rivers on March 30, 2019. Bart moved to Arizona in 1987 and worked for the Frito-Lay Company for over 38 years.

Bart is leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love and kindness. Bart loved being with Family, he had an infectious laugh and enjoyed connecting with anyone around him. Bart was a member of the Wickenburg Elks Club where he met so many wonderful people while spending countless hours in leadership and volunteering to make Wickenburg a better place to live. Bart left Menominee for Arizona after learning how to work with a purpose, love with intention, seeking joy and carrying for anyone needing a hand. These wonderful traits stayed with Bart his entire life and made Bart such a great son, brother, husband and dear friend.

In addition to his wife Lisa, Bart is survived his stepson Kaleb Rivers, nine siblings, including Audrey (Jeff) Mourar, Dawn (Doug) Harteau, Bob (Jackie) Roubal, John Roubal, Jim (Tena) Roubal, Bill (Jamie) Roubal, Ed (Ann) Roubal, Marie (Chris) Roubal, and Terri (Jerry) Derusha, aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Visitation will take place Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 from 10 am until 11am. A Mass of Christin Burial will immediately follow for the repose of the soul of Bart Charles Roubal, at 11am with Father Jamie Ziminski presiding.

Burial will be in the Menominee Township Cemetery.

Bonnie Jean Fister, 91, of Stephenson, Mi. passed away at home on Friday, April 3, 2026. She was born April 12, 1934 in Britton, Mi. to the late Earl Sr. and Mary (Kronberg) Bird. Bonnie graduated from Stephenson High School class of 1952 and later went on the get her LPN from Bay College of Nursing and graduated in 1989. She married Walter Fister Jr. and he passed away in 1982. Bonnie worked at Roubals Nursing Home for many years as a LPN. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and the St Ann’s Sanctuary Society and Mid County Rescue Squad. She enjoyed teaching catechism, being a girl scout leader, having a foster home, driving stock cars in her younger years and she enjoyed being active in the rodeo in Washington State.

Bonnie is survived by her 2 sons: Roger of Stephenson, Mi. and Bill (Lynn) of Stephenson, Mi.; 2 sisters MaryAnn Frodroski and Edith Vincent and 1 brother Paul (Barb) Bird. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband; infant son Steven; 2 daughters Donna Cross and Vickie Lahmann; sister Vivian Gaudes; 2 brothers Earl Jr. and Donald.

Visitation for Bonnie will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home beginning at 9:00am till 10:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am at Precious Blood Catholic Church with Fr. Jins Joseph officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Stephenson Township Cemetery.

Lowell Wayne “Butch” Parrett Jr age 71 of Menominee, Michigan passed away on April 1st, 2026, at UP Health System-Marquette Hospital. Butch was born on March 31, 1955 in Menominee, Michigan to Lowell and Jeannie Parrett. He graduated from Stephenson High School with the Class of 1973.Butch was a lifelong talented carpenter & mason that worked throughout the Midwest, and his skills even took him to Florida for a few years during the big housing boom. Butch made many friends throughout his life and was liked by everyone he met. Throughout his life, his love of dogs remained constant, which provided him with comfort and companionship. In recent months, Butch suffered with significant health challenges but always remained positive and happy. During his illness his family was there by his side, providing the support he needed.

Butch is survived by his brothers Roy (Tammy) Parrett and Ronnie (Shannon) Parrett; his sisters, Patty (Jim) Vandenberg; Penny (Todd) Nehls; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeannie Parrett-Voelker and his father, Lowell Parrett Sr.; and his niece Sarah Johnson.

Visitation will be held at Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Immediately following the visitation, friends and family are invited to celebrate Butch’s life at the Wild Eagle Bar & Grill located in downtown Stephenson, Michigan.

Barbara Lee Hubert, 91, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 5, 2026 with family at her side. She was born in Menominee, MI on April 19, 1934 to the late Lawrence and Elaine (Beaudo) Lane. Barb graduated from Menominee High School class of 1952. She married Harris “Michael” Hubert on April 3, 1954. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2015. Barb was a homemaker but also worked as a bookkeeper at Graybar Electric in Marinette, WI.

Barb’s proudest and greatest joy was her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed sharing time with friends and playing cards.

Barb is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Michael) Mullin, three sons, Michael Hubert, Scott Hubert, and Steven (Stephanie) Hubert, six grandchildren including Michael (Sirena) Hubert, Matthew (Brittiany) Hubert, Jason (Tori) Hofer, Amy (Cody) Parkovich, Alexandra Hubert, and Grayson Hubert, seven great-grandchildren Jace, Carson, Audrey, Jay, Charlie, Otto, and Rome, two brothers Lawrence (Patricia) Lane and Jim (Debbie) Lane, her sister-in-law Marlyn “Roomie” Beaudo, and other family and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband Mike, Barb was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Polomis and two brothers, Robert Lane and Dennis Beaudo.

Visitation will take place at the Cadieu Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 4pm until the Vigil prayer service at 6pm with Fr. Jamie Ziminski presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of Barbara Lee Hubert on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 11am with Fr. Zackary Mazurek presiding. A luncheon will immediately follow the mass.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.

Barb will be forever remembered for her quick wit and her sense of humor.

Deborah Lee Schahczenski, 72, of Menominee passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday March 26, 2026 with her family by her side following a long battle with Dementia. Debbie was born in Milwaukee WI to Ed and Gertrude (Olsen) Cusack. She graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School in 1971 and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. On June 1, 1974 she married Arvid Schahczenski. Debbie worked for Stephenson National Bank & Trust as a teller and a branch manager until her retirement. Debbie’s life was defined by the warmth she shared with others, whether it was through her homemade cooking, a cheering voice in the stands yelling “rebound” or just her contagious smile. She was also known to yell “da bears” on any given Sunday. She found her greatest joy in the simple, sun-drenched time on her deck listening to music and in the deep love of her family.

Debbie spent her spare time camping, playing a game of cards, and in her younger years at the bowling alley. Debbie was not one to be in the spotlight but instead the quiet heart of her family, it was always family first. Debbie had a creative and festive spirit; she transformed her home on Halloween and Christmas with elaborate decorations. She was proud of her Irish Heritage and never turned down a green beer on St Patty’ Day at Cusack’s, the family bar.

In the kitchen she was famous for her molasses cookies and butterscotch pie and was happy to pull up a chair and teach family her recipes.

Above all else, Debbie’s heart belonged to her family. Her greatest roles in life were those of mother and grandmother. She was her children’s greatest fan, never missing a game and driving to practices every day. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and her presence in their life will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Debbie is survived by her son Steve (Kelly) Schahczenski; her daughter Nikki Schahczenski; grandchildren Presten, Skylar, Parker, Seth (Amanda) and Morgan (Tayontae); 2 sisters, Patti (Mark) Rehwinkle and Jackie Whitton; special nieces Trisha and Ashley; brother-in-law Dennis (Kristen) Schahcznenski; and sisters-in-law Shara Schahczenski and Gloria Schahczenski.

Debbie was proceeded in death by her parents Ed and Gertrude, husband and love of her live Arvid, and special friend Gerry Bertrand.

A celebration of life will be held for Debbie on Saturday April 4, 2026 at Murrays Irish Pub and Grill 715 1st Street, Menominee Mi from 11:00am until 2:00pm.

The Cadieu Funeral Home is assisting the Schahczenski family with arrangements.

The long goodbye and difficult journey of dementia was truly made more gracious by the unwavering compassion and selfless care given to Debbie by her daughter Nikki. She was able to be a light for Debbie that allowed her to pass with dignity and peace.

JOSEPH ANTHONY GRZYB, 60 of Menominee, MI passed away at his home on Thursday March 26, 2026 with his wife Jill by his side. Joe was born on April 9, 1965 in Escanaba, MI to John and Vera (Koszla) Grzyb. On May 20, 2016, Joe married Jill Derocher in Menominee. He worked as a system operator at Lloyd Flanders for 35 years. Joe loved cooking outdoors, Labatt Blue beer and working on small engines. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Joe is survived by his wife Jill; 7 siblings: Ron (Cathy) Grzyb, John Jr. (Mary) Grzyb, MaryAnn (Steve) Nelson, Carol Jean Maki, Dan (Toni) Grzyb, Annette (special friend Tom) Minor and Catherine (Henry) Broeders; sister-in-law: Mary Grzyb; nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents: John & Vera; brother: Steve Grzyb; and brother-in-law: John Maki.

REBECCA LYNN ANDERSON, 75 of Stephenson passed away on Sunday March 22, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area in Marinette. Rebecca Lynn Luhtala was born on June 26, 1950 in DeKalb, IL to Severi and Jean (Rueff) Luhtala. Rebecca worked as an LPN and was known for her time as an EMT with the Mid County Rescue Squad. She loved horses, chickens and hobby farming with Mike. She further enjoyed photography and reading, but her greatest love of all was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter: Jennifer (Rudy) Gross of Daggett; son: Mark (Karri) Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO; significant other: Mike Axtell of Stephenson; 6 grandchildren: Rachael (Rob) Richcreek, Tiffany (Craig) Tessmer, Morgan (Fiancé Marco) Anderson, Hannah (Tom) Davis, Kole Anderson and Madison (Fiancé Drake) Gross; 6 great grandchildren: Madi, John, Lucas, Rowan, Castiel and Charlotte; and 1 brother: Thomas (Sandra) Luhtala of Sandy Lake, MI.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents: Severi and Jean Luhtala.

JACOB EDWIN SALFAI, 79, of Menominee passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Rennes East in Peshtigo, WI. He was born on January 26, 1947, to the late John and Violet (Mielke) Salfai in Menominee. Jacob graduated from Menominee High School Class of 1965. He served two terms in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After serving his country, Jacob worked at Lloyds for eight years and Kuber’s Feed Mill for the rest of his working career. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, hunting, canoeing, watching movies, reading, and watching the Green Bay Packers. Jacob also loved dogs, giving a treat to a dog anytime he could. He also loved looking and reading about bigfoot.

Jacob is survived by three sisters: Linda Caley, Rose (Brian) Tachick, and Angie Schmidt; one brother: RJ Salfai; and many nieces and nephews.

Jacob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: John and Dave, niece: Rebecka, and brother-in-law: William Caley.

JANET MAE (FETTERLY) SMITH, 89 of Menominee, MI passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. She was born on January 22, 1937 in Marinette, WI to Phillip John Fetterly and Almira Rachel (Gallagher) Fetterly. Janet graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1955. Janet married Donald “Butch” Smith on August 10, 1957. They resided in Menominee, MI and were blessed with six children.

Most of Janet’s working career was spent at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Menominee where she served as a Deacon and a member of Presbyterian Women. She was also a member of GFWC Menominee Woman’s Club and a volunteer at the Rainbow House in Marinette. Janet was an avid reader and spent many hours at Spies Public Library. Her other hobbies included needle work, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her children: Lori J. (Kim) Barrette of Peshtigo, WI, Gary J. (Mary Clarice) Smith of Lansing, MI, Linda J. Smith of Rome, IN, Lana J. (Robert) Baeten of Stokesdale, NC, Gregory J. (Karen) Smith of Gladstone, MI and Geoffrey J. (Sheri) Smith of Marinette, WI. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Brittany (Jon) Nor, Brandon (Amy) Barrette, Amanda Baeten, Megan Smith and Alex Smith; and 5 great grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Almira Fetterly; and her husband: Donald “Butch” Smith.

Visitation for Janet will be held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Wednesday April 1, 2026 from 10:30 am until time of Funeral Service at 12:30 pm with Pastor Keith Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.

CHERYL LYNNE MIKUS, 70 of Menominee passed away on Thursday March 19, 2026 at Rennes Health & Rehab-West in Peshtigo. Cheryl Lynne Nordquist was born on February 16, 1956 in Menominee to John “Jack” and Carol “Pat” (Lentz) Nordquist. On August 17, 1974, Cheryl married Michael Mikus at Shepherd Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX. Cheryl loved cardinals, cooking, baking, puzzles, crocheting, sewing and cross stitch. She further enjoyed volunteering her time with the Red Cross and Church in England.

Cheryl is survived by her husband: Michael Allan Mikus of Menominee; son: Jamie (Tiffany) Mikus of Menominee; daughter: Jenny (Tim) Clifford of Cleburne, TX; grandchildren: Cameron Mikus, Cayden Mikus, Joshua (Rachel) Sandifer and Brandon Sandifer; great grandchildren: Bradley, Kayla, Isabella and Liliana; sisters: Gail Methner, Nancy (Troy) Process and Patti LaLonde; brothers: Rick (Debbie) Nordquist, John (Sharon) Nordquist and Dan (Tina) Nordquist; sister-in-law: Sharon Nordquist; nieces and nephews.

MASCHUTHA “JUNE BUG” PRZEWROCKI, 76 of Marinette, WI passed away on Tuesday March 17, 2026 at her home. June was born on November 1, 1949 in Bangkok, Thailand. She worked as a hairstylist, a job she truly loved, at many local salons such as Regis, JC Penney’s and Fantastic Sam’s retiring in 2025. June enjoyed socializing with her friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.

June is survived by her daughter: Amy (Carl) Larson of Stephenson, MI; and 3 grandsons: Gage, Trae and Liam Larson all of Stephenson, MI.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 23, 2026 at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
