MARK ALLEN STREETER

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we share that our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Mark Streeter, entered eternal rest on February 13, joining his Heavenly Father. Mark passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on August 15, 1962, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mark spent his early years in Wisconsin and Michigan before moving to California, where he completed his schooling. His life journey eventually brought him back to Michigan, which he called home for many years. Mark built a career rooted in hard work and dedication, beginning in the grocery industry before transitioning into Network Administration, where his reliability and commitment were well known.

Mark approached life with enthusiasm, humor, and an unshakable love for the things that brought him joy. A lifelong sports fan, he cheered passionately for the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers. He was equally at home at the poker table—where he delighted in friendly competition—or out on the golf course, which was his true passion. Golf was more than a game to Mark; it was a testament to his spirit. Over his lifetime, he achieved 6 holes in one —one after being declared legally blind and another after a leg amputation—remarkable milestones that perfectly reflected his belief that passion and perseverance triumph over limitation.

Throughout his lifelong journey with diabetes, Mark faced extraordinary challenges with courage, grace, and an unwaveringly positive outlook. He refused to let obstacles define him, instead choosing gratitude, humor, and determination. His resilience and joy for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him and continued to inspire his family and friends.

Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Rosie Streeter; his children Jordan (Christian) Russomanno, Alexandra (Terrell) Dunn, and PJ Panagopoulous; and his cherished grandchildren Jeremiah, Rhyan, Roman, and Theodor, all of California. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Streeter of Foley, Alabama; his siblings Bruce (Donna) Streeter of Mobile, Alabama, and Craig (Kristine) Streeter of Atlanta, Georgia; along with six beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Streeter.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held in late spring or early summer, allowing family and friends to gather and honor a man whose life was defined by love, perseverance, and joy. Details will be shared at a later date. Cadieu Funeral Home is assisting the Streeter family with arrangements.

Roger James Janofski, 78, Wilson, Michigan

Roger Janofski was born April 4, 1948 in the maternity home in Daggett, Michigan and passed away at home, after a prolonged illness, on February 13, 2026, surrounded by friends.

Roger grew up on the Janofski Family Farm which remains as a centennial farm in Wilson, with his parents and six siblings. He attended the Carney-Nadeau School and graduated in from High School in 1966. Roger earned his Bachelor's degree in education from Northern Michigan University in 1970, after which he began his teaching career in Stephenson. He was drafted into the U. S. Army in 1971 and was sent to Korea during the final years of the Vietnam War. In the Army, Roger served as an MP and achieved the rank of Specialist 4.

Following his military service, Roger again enrolled in Northern Michigan University and earned a Master of Arts in Education degree in 1981. He resumed teaching, this time at the Marinette Public Schools in Wisconsin, where he taught until 2003. Roger loved being a teacher.

Residents of the Marinette area will also remember him as a sought-after interior decorator, as well. He was commissioned to decorate many of Marinette’s stately homes.

At the end of his teaching career, Roger returned to the Janofski Family Farm to care for his elderly parents, Arlene, who passed in 2012 and Fred Janofski, who passed in 2024.

In addition to serving as a caregiver for his parents, Roger was a person who took great care of a great many things. He preserved the beautiful family farmhouse and land, and added many, many artistic touches to the landscape, such as ornamental shrubs and over 200 different rosebushes. Many in the community will attest to the pleasure of viewing the farm and grounds when all the flowers were in bloom.

When he wasn’t working outside from dawn until dusk, Roger taught himself to repair clocks of all shapes and sizes, from tiny desk clocks to majestic grandfather clocks, many of which decorated the family home. If anyone in the surrounding area needed a clock repaired, they could bring it to Roger for his loving care. In addition to clocks, Roger collected many pieces of antique furniture, china, glassware, and lamps. He had an eye for beauty. In May of 2025, Roger took to the skies with the U.P. Honor Flight, Mission XXV.

Roger is survived by his sisters Karen (Mike) Bagladi, Chris (Jeff) Stage, and Donna (Len) Skrobiak and his brother John (Kelly) Janofski, sister-in-law Annette Janofski as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Arlene and Fred Janofski, as well as his sisters, infant Diane Janofski and Nancy Benson, and brother Fred Janofski Jr.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 17, 2026 at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau, MI from 9:30 am until time of Military Honors at 10:40 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am with Father Benny Mathew officiating. Burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
