A HUGE victory for Maryland PAs! 🏛️✨
Yesterday marked a historic milestone for our profession as Governor Wes Moore officially signed the Physician Assistant Parity Act of 2026 (SB 326/HB 377) into law! ✍️📜
This landmark legislation ensures PAs have similar rights and responsibilities as other healthcare practitioners across the state—from guardianship and mental health admissions to expanded primary care options. This win is a direct result of the tireless advocacy of our members and leaders.

WAPA held its annual Spring Conference last week, bringing together PAs from across Wisconsin for an incredible few days of learning, connection, and celebration.

Attendees earned over 21 hours of CME, with hands-on workshops in suturing and ultrasound proving to be a huge success. Our leadership track continued to grow and support PA leaders serving in health systems throughout the state.

We were also thrilled to welcome students from all four PA programs on Thursday and Friday for the Challenge Bowl and student track—your energy and enthusiasm are inspiring!

This year’s conference was especially meaningful as we celebrated WAPA’s 50th anniversary. We awarded scholarships and honored outstanding PAs, including PA Preceptor of the Year, PA Leader of the Year, and PA of the Year.
