The last of our founding PAs has passed. RIP.

The PA History Society is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kenneth Ferrell. Ken was the last surviving of the original three Duke PA gradutes. Despite pioneering an entire profession that has lasted almost 60 years, Ken remained humble and kind. He loved talking with PA students and young PAs and said that they made him feel like a rock star. Ken will be sorely missed by the PAHx and everyone who had the good fortune to have met him.
