Bloating is one of the most common frustrations people deal with, especially when we're eating so well, training and consistently, and doing "everything we're supposed to. But here's what we want you to know:
There are multiple triggers... hormonal shifts, digestive responses, stress, fluid retention, fiber timing, and even things like how fast you eat or how much air you swallow while talking. (yes... the gut literally keeps receipts).
Scientifically, bloating refers to an increase in gas, air, or fluid within the GI tract and sometimes a heightened sensory response to normal levels of distension. Research has shown many women are more sensitive to abdominal distension due to hormonal fluctuations and nerve signaling in the gut-brain axis. This happens to men as well.
