"I was out of town and my niece had to bring him in and everyone was so wonderful to my Dad and patient with him and they let my niece call me with questions she didn't know. I even heard the nurse teasing my Dad about how young he looked for his age. She was so wonderful with him," said a patient's family member after they visited the emergency department at Marshfield Medical Center-Eau Claire.

Thank you Dr. Dusan Markovic for helping shape the future of rural health care!

Dr. Markovic, pediatrician in Eau Claire, was recently presented with a Preceptor Award from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse graduating physician assistant class of 2025.

This program has a long-standing, annual tradition of selecting two, student-nominated preceptors from each partner organization. Students have recognized these faculty as going above and beyond to help explain procedures to the learners and create a collaborative learning environment.

Since joining Marshfield Medical Center-Eau Claire in June 2021 as an ED tech and transitioning to a registered nurse in August 2023, Tim has consistently demonstrated excellence in patient care and documentation. Flu vaccines are now available across Marshfield Clinic locations. Self-schedule your appointment using your My Marshfield Clinic account, call your primary care provider or call our Vaccine Hotline at 715-387-5404 (Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.).

Receiving a flu vaccine each fall reduces your risk of getting sick and of experiencing severe complications. It also decreases the severity of illness if you do get the flu.
