American Lutheran Communities Be a part of the American Lutheran Communities in a new way! We're a nursing and rehabilitation cent

For more than 60 years, American Lutheran Communities has been a trusted friend and good neighbor, providing west central Wisconsin communities with quality senior care in the warmth and reassurance of a Christian atmosphere. With pooled resources and assistance from several area Evangelical Lutheran Church congregations, American Lutheran Homes opened its first two facilities to serve the elderly in 1949. Since then, we've expanded our services to provide local care and support for independent seniors, disabled adults, rehabilitative patients, and long-term residents. Today, our clients enjoy the comfort, camaraderie, and gentle smiles that meet them at all American Lutheran Homes facilities:

’Twas the night before Christmas at Hillview so true, where cheer filled the air and joy wrapped us through.
By the glow of the fireplace and tree shining bright, residents gathered for laughter, gifts, and delight.
Thanks to our generous community, every tag was fulfilled, with presents personalized—each heart truly thrilled.
And as wrapping paper flew and smiles grew wide, a resident’s family member sang carols with pride.
It was a night of warm wishes, sweet songs, and good cheer—proof that at Hillview, the best gift is community this time of year!

Did someone say OYSTER STEW?! 🦪Why yes—folks at Hillview sure did! This cozy creation featured milk (generously donated by the School District of Mondovi), fresh oysters, butter, salt, and pepper (generously donated by our anonymous donors), —and, of course, stirred together with lots of love. 💛

It may have been a small gathering, but it sparked big conversations filled with memories of traditions and holidays past. A heartfelt thank you to our anonymous donors who made this special meal possible.... And because no good meal is complete without a little extra joy… sweet treats were the perfect finishing touch to an already delicious experience!

Santa Claus isn’t the only one sharing Christmas magic at Hillview. Last night, Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves (with a couple of four-legged helpers-the reindeer were busy!) visited to deliver something truly special.

In November, 4th grade students helped residents write letters to Santa, sharing wishes from their childhood and today. Those letters were published in the Mondovi Newspaper on Dec. 18—and Santa answered every single one. Letters, goodies, and bells were delivered, reminding us that the bell still rings for those who believe. So many smiles, happy tears, and full hearts. A huge thank you to the Eleva-Strum Rail Riders and the Hopland-Moen American Legion Post 459 Eleva for making this magic happen!

Last Friday, our hearts were truly warmed when the great-granddaughter of one of our residents who is dearly remembered shared a beautiful act of kindness 💕 She delivered the softest, warmest Christmas blankets and cozy socks to each of our residents—just in time for the holidays. A heartfelt thank you to Caryn I. and Mae’s Boutique for such a thoughtful and generous gift, and to the family of Lola F. for helping pass them out. A touching reminder of love, remembrance, and the true spirit of Christmas.
