For more than 60 years, American Lutheran Communities has been a trusted friend and good neighbor, providing west central Wisconsin communities with quality senior care in the warmth and reassurance of a Christian atmosphere. With pooled resources and assistance from several area Evangelical Lutheran Church congregations, American Lutheran Homes opened its first two facilities to serve the elderly

in 1949. Since then, we've expanded our services to provide local care and support for independent seniors, disabled adults, rehabilitative patients, and long-term residents. Today, our clients enjoy the comfort, camaraderie, and gentle smiles that meet them at all American Lutheran Homes facilities:

Hillview residents and staff, along with ALH Mondovi, recently came together to celebrate one of our very own in a truly special way! Dorothy S., a beloved resident at Hillview, turned an incredible 102 years young!

The surprise celebration included delicious cake and ice cream, along with live music by The Classics that had everyone smiling, singing along, and enjoying the wonderful afternoon together.

Turning 102 is certainly a milestone worth celebrating! The joy and camaraderie shared among residents, staff, family, and friends made the day even more memorable.

Some of our favorite high school students came to Hillview for their last visit of the school year yesterday! The morning was filled with relaxed fun and games, and our afternoon group helped brighten up the outdoors by planting the beautiful flowers we purchased last week. We are so thankful for the smiles, laughter, and friendships built throughout the year. We’re already tentatively planning for once-a-month visits next school year — and we can’t wait to see everyone again!

Saturday morning fun means getting creative with activities! 🎈😄 “When the boss is away, games they will play” at Hillview! This weekend’s game included balloons hanging from the lights and pool noodles swinging to keep them flying! Residents had lots of laughs — and we’re happy to report no light fixtures were harmed in the making of the fun!

Recently our High School M-Core classes came back to visit us at Hillview! 🌷 The students helped give our outdoor spaces a spring spruce-up by spreading fresh wood chips, making everything look great for the season. Some of the students also spent time in the dining room with residents, enjoying lots of laughs while playing a variety of games together. We’re excited for one more visit with them later this month!

Hillview residents recently had a special visitor — Chewy, aka Chewbacca, the City of Mondovi Police Department dog! 🐾 Chewy made his way through Hillview for a fun walk-through visit, soaking up lots of pets, smiles, and attention from residents and staff alike.
