For more than 60 years, American Lutheran Communities has been a trusted friend and good neighbor, providing west central Wisconsin communities with quality senior care in the warmth and reassurance of a Christian atmosphere. With pooled resources and assistance from several area Evangelical Lutheran Church congregations, American Lutheran Homes opened its first two facilities to serve the elderly in 1949. Since then, we've expanded our services to provide local care and support for independent seniors, disabled adults, rehabilitative patients, and long-term residents. Today, our clients enjoy the comfort, camaraderie, and gentle smiles that meet them at all American Lutheran Homes facilities:

ALH Menomonie - a skilled nursing home with a pleasant view of of woods in Menomonie, Wisconsin

Autumn Village - an assisted living community conveniently attached to ALH Menomonie

ALH Mondovi - a skilled nursing home surrounded by the rural natural beauty and small town charm of Mondovi, Wisconsin

What an egg-cellent day at ALH Mondovi! 🐣 The students joined our residents for some Easter fun, helping them decorate eggs to keep as special souvenirs. The kids hid eggs and sent everyone on a hunt—each resident found three, and while a few held prize surprises, every egg was filled with sweet treats, making everyone a winner! Our residents absolutely loved spending time with the kids and hearing their Easter stories – it truly was the highlight of the day!

Friday brought smiles all around at American Lutheran Communities – Mondovi as residents welcomed children from the community for a delightful tea party to celebrate the first day of spring. Laughter, stories, and sweet treats were shared across generations, creating special moments for everyone involved. Both the residents and the children absolutely loved the time together. What a toss-up showdown at today’s ALH Menomonie bean bag game! Bags were flying and tensions were corny as the score stayed within five points nearly the whole match—talk about a real nail-biter! In the end, the Blue team snuck it in with a 955–935 win over the Stripes. Victory never tasted so sweet… especially when it comes with a full-sized Hershey bar 🍫🏆!

A recent visit from a fluffy crew of Maine C**n kittens turned an ordinary day at ALH Menomonie into a full-on feline fest. With their oversized paws, tufted ears, and larger-than-life personalities, these little charmers were absolutely purrrrfect. Residents couldn’t get enough of the cuddles, and staff were just as smitten—pausing their day for a few extra head scratches and kitten snuggles. From playful pounces to cozy lap naps, these kittens brought smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of joy.
