For more than 60 years, American Lutheran Communities has been a trusted friend and good neighbor, providing west central Wisconsin communities with quality senior care in the warmth and reassurance of a Christian atmosphere. With pooled resources and assistance from several area Evangelical Lutheran Church congregations, American Lutheran Homes opened its first two facilities to serve the elderly

in 1949. Since then, we've expanded our services to provide local care and support for independent seniors, disabled adults, rehabilitative patients, and long-term residents. Today, our clients enjoy the comfort, camaraderie, and gentle smiles that meet them at all American Lutheran Homes facilities:

ALH Menomonie - a skilled nursing home with a pleasant view of of woods in Menomonie, Wisconsin

Autumn Village - an assisted living community conveniently attached to ALH Menomonie

ALH Mondovi - a skilled nursing home surrounded by the rural natural beauty and small town charm of Mondovi, Wisconsin

We had a corn-tastic time during our recent bean bag showdown ALH-Menomonie!! It was a tight, toss-for-toss battle, but in the end, the Blue Team edged out the Stripes with a score of 1,295 to 1,185. Great throws, lots of laughs, and friendly competition made it a day to remember. Way to bag the win, Blue Team! 💙🏆

We recently had a truly special celebration at ALH-Menomonie in honor of Margaret H.’s 101st birthday. After a meaningful church service with Pastor Bob, Margaret was surrounded by her loving family and fellow residents for a heartfelt gathering filled with joy, laughter, and sweet memories. It was a beautiful tribute to a remarkable woman whose warmth and wisdom continue to inspire us all. Happy 101st, Margaret! 💖🎂

Residents at ALH-Menomonie had a tail-wagging good time during a recent visit from the beautiful and beloved pup, River! This gentle giant strolled in with grace, instantly winning hearts with her soft eyes, calm demeanor, and the kind of furry charm that makes you want to snuggle forever. From cozy cuddles to belly rubs, River brought pure joy and warm smiles to everyone she met. It was a paws-itively perfect visit. We can’t wait to welcome her back soon for more wagging tails and happy trails!

The fair-est week of the year has rolled into town — The Buffalo County Fair is here! We’ve been having a wheel-y good time with fair games, a delicious malt mission to the fair, and our very own “Best in Show” wheelchair/walker decorating contest!

ALH-Menomonie recently hosted a delightful tea party with the Sunshine Kids, and it was steeped in fun and laughter! Residents and kids shared smiles, stories, and sweets over teacups, while even the gentlemen joined in the festivities—donning whimsical tea party hats with flair. Hillview residents were scooped up for a sweet surprise—thanks to a generous local family’s Christmas gift: free ice cream from McT’s, donated by Rails & Relics! Two trips hit the road—one after breakfast (because who doesn’t love ice cream for breakfast?) and another after lunch. Along the scenic country roads of Mondovi, we spotted 3 does, 3 fawns, and a buck—udderly amazing! One stop even took us past a resident’s family farm, sparking stories and smiles. To top it all off—bags of candy from Kinsley and Collyns made the day even sweeter!
