Our Story

At Altercare of Mentor, we value innovation and compassion. Our teams deliver expert care and support for individuals requiring short-term rehabilitation, long-term nursing care and memory care.

Our compassionate, experienced therapy professionals provide customized, goal-focused orthopedic, CVA/stroke, cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs designed to get patients back to vibrant living. Our therapy team applies advanced technology, including a virtual reality system cognitive and motor therapy and VitalStim therapy for dysphasia or difficulty swallowing. Physical, occupational and speech therapy are offered on-site, often in our spacious therapy gym.

For patients with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, our secured Memory Care on our Speret Hall unit and specialized programming ensure residents are safe, secure and engage in stimulating activities, such as Opening Minds through Art, an intergenerational art-making program.

A full-time medical director and nurse practitioner guide care throughout our center.
