WOW another of probably many -- nice warm sunny day here. We aren't used to over 80 yet, so only went outside for 20 minutes, but they enjoyed it. Getting the patio ready.

Families, we have a wish list for more umbrellas, but it looks great with blue chair additions that were donated!

2026 Making Memories PROM!

We’re fully ready for the SOCK HOP on Wednesday May 20th, our monthly Making Memories Symphony signature event and part of the Elegance brand that truly sets us apart from other residence communities.

1. Today and tomorrow we’re taking photos of each resident in themed attire.

2. Wednesday kicks off with a concert by Jill Hayman at 3-4 p.m. in the community room and is open to guests (must RSVP, limited space).

3. Diner-experience for dinner. A resident-only dinner follows with a 1950 authentic diner experience featuring Coke, hamburger and fries, and banana splits!

THANKS TO TERI who blew up and hung all the balloons, and all the staff helping to get resident photos for Wednesday! Here’s the décor you’ll see throughout the building today. 💙

Faster Frederick from Zion Lutheran Church ministered to us today with message and song, and residents appreciated the church time.

We thank our ministry volunteers for coming in and serving our Symphony At Mentor residents. These are truly precious moments. Thanks too for Zion Lutheran Church of Fairport for their ministry outreach to us

Changed up our Saturday with live music by the talented Chuck Tamblyn — better known as “Showtime Charlie!” His sing-along tunes and silly humor had everyone smiling, swaying, and even blushing as he charmed the ladies with his sweet compliments. 🎶😊

Thank you to Chuck for the symphony of sounds, and smiles today at Symphony at Mentor. ❤️

Today’s Friday Cocktail Hour at Symphony at Mentor featured the talented Tom Todd! Tom delighted everyone as he played guitar, banjo AND Ukele while singing well known beloved oldies. Residents didn’t just listen—they joined in!

Snack was sponsored by Amedisys Hospice. Thanks Jason for bringing the snack and helping our residents enjoy the event even more.

From singing along and clapping to toe-tapping to the familiar melodies, the room was filled with energy and nostalgia.

WE’RE DECORATED FOR THE May 20th monthly Making Memories Symphony signature event and part of the Elegance brand that truly sets us apart from other residence communities.

May is PROM featuring a Sock Hop on Wednesday May 20th.

1. Monday and Tuesday we’ll be taking photos of each resident in themed attire.

3. Resident-only dinner follows with a 1950 authentic diner experience featuring Coke, hamburger and fries, and banana splits! Staff will dress as 1950’s waiters and themed attire is encouraged.

Wednesday is baking and today Bethany made chocolalte cookies-- YUM Everyone enjoyed making their own creations … and eating them. We really can have our ‘cookie’ and eat it too!

SITTING OUTSIDE on our patios is a wonderful and safe sunny day activity. Today we enjoyed it with our new donated chairs and hats (thank you Muny family) and some sunscreen (just in case).
Smiles abounded! Many were impressed and distracted by all the flowers already in bloom.

The Monthly Men’s Lunch occurred today with good conversation over beverages, taco’s & sports trivia and history. Lot’s of discussion about spring games, and the men enjoyed good food and conversation, till they meet again next month.
