Bus trips are back!
Took a handful of residents on Fall Leaves viewing today as our weekly bus outings. Went to Holden Arboretum, the Penitentiary Glen parking lot (to eval for our next stop) and the Kirtland Historical center area. Leaves were plentiful to see (and some Holden Halloween skeletons!).

We enjoyed plenty of beauty with plenty of smiles!

Tom Todd the incomparable entertained us again to bouncing island songs of Blue Hawaii, Elvis, monster mash, My Susana, You are my Sunshine, and many other favorites that had us bouncing in our chairs along with him. Ukulele and Hawaiian sounds are a special treat. Our group really enjoys the feelings of song and sunshine versus the rainy weather outside.

Pearls Memories Babies 1st announcement! If you read the newsletter, we secured a donation from Pearl Memory Babies for our residents. Pearl Memory Babies supports dementia residents by gifting lifelike baby dolls and stuffed dogs that evoke nurturing instincts and cherished memories.

We were selected to receive a donation of these lifelike 3-month-old babies for the ladies and small dogs for the men.

In three weeks we'll host our “Welcome Little Pumpkins” Baby Shower on Thursday October 23rd from 2-3 p.m. HOW OUR FAMILIES CAN HELP
• Support the baby shower with décor, ideas and volunteering (see Michelle Brady).
• Each baby will come with a blanket and an outfit and families can add more.

This Sukkot, we are reminded of life's simple treasures: the autumn sun on our faces, good company around the table, and hearts filled with gratitude.

Sukkot reminds us to live for love – wherever we may find it – and to celebrate the joy of sharing abundance with others through open arms and open doors. Like the sukkah itself, our most joyful moments come when we welcome kindness and share friendship.

🎉🍂 Oktoberfest vibes are in full swing at The Symphony at Mentor! 🍺🥨

We kicked things off with an amazing German-inspired lunch — think juicy brats, tangy sauerkraut, and all the comfort food goodness. Then our resident Gastronaut wowed us with melty cheese + pretzel bites, paired perfectly with cold beer or spiced citrus tea. 👨‍🍳✨

Big thanks to our incredible culinary team for the beautiful spread and festive presentation! 🌟

🎶 Special shoutout to Tom Provenzale and his daughter Veronica, who brought the energy and classical flair with their rocket-fueled performance — had us bouncing in our seats! 🚀🎻 (Yes, we caught it on video!)
