Brachioplasty removed excess skin from the upper arms, and can be extended to remove excess skin from the lateral chest as well. It's a bit easier recovery than abdominoplasty- most patients take about a week off work. You'll need to avoid heavy cardio and lifting weights for four weeks after surgery. The scars do tend to stay pink, especially by the elbow. Average cost is around $7000-8000 including the OR and anesthesia costs.

This patient had nearly 5 pounds of excess skin removed during her abdominoplasty surgery. Dr. Greer also repaired her re**us diastasis, which is a widening between the re**us abdominis muscles. This created a flat contour dramatically different from her preop photos, and we couldn't be more excited for her.

Fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty differs from traditional abdominoplasty because skin is excised along a vertical incision as well. This is a great option for people who have lost more than about 50-60 pounds, because it allows Dr. Greer to remove more loose skin than she can with only a horizontal incision. She also creates a new belly button, so there is no scar around it.

Did you know Dr. Greer performs a special kind of mastopexy augmentation that gives a better result?

When breast implants are placed under the muscle, we usually release the pectoralis muscle from where it inserts on the ribs (blue dotted line). But if Dr. Greer is doing a mastopexy, she leaves that insertion intact so the implants sits higher. The mastopexy then raises the breast up on to the implant.
