To the Patients and Families of Kmentt Family Orthodontics,

I am pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Ashleigh Kmentt DMD, MS to our practice in July 2025!

Dr. Ashleigh attended Kirtland Local Schools from grades K-12 before starting her college career at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She enjoyed her time on the club rowing team, serving on the executive board of her sorority, tutoring general chemistry, and studying abroad in Luxembourg. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Pre-Medical studies with minors in Nutrition and Molecular Biology.

From there, Dr. Ashleigh moved back home to Cleveland, following in her father’s footsteps at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine. During her time there, she served as President of her class and later, Student Body President. She was also involved in student leadership with the Orthodontics Club, Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, and Women in Dentistry. Throughout dental school, she stayed busy in the community volunteering many Saturdays with the Miracle League of Lake County. She remained especially involved as an assistant coach for the Woman’s Soccer team at her alma mater, Kirtland High School. The team won its first State Championship title in 2020!

After Dental School, she then moved to Chapel Hill, NC to complete her orthodontic training at the University of North Carolina (Go Heels!), where the Graduate Orthodontics program has remained a world-renowned leader in the field for decades. Dr. Ashleigh is a fitness-enthusiast, loves the outdoors, and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two cats, Opal and Oslo. She is a major “foodie” and would love to hear some of your favorite local recommendations to enjoy when she moves back home to Cleveland!

I am so excited to have Dr. Ashleigh join our team! I look forward to working alongside my daughter as our lifelong dream of a family practice becomes a reality. She will be a wonderful asset to our practice, bringing new technology and treatment techniques from digital scanning to clear aligners to in-depth surgical training and more.

Coming this summer, keep an eye out for a new friendly face around the practice—where we believe two Kmentts are better than one!
