Good morning everyone,
Just read an article about, "Why people hate their doctors." Ouch. Take homes: Their doctor doesn't have enough time for them, they can't see their doctor when they need to, and their doctor doesn't care enough to call back or help when needed.
I have to - need to - interject! While every doctor isn't fabulous every day (present company included), I would argue it isn't the provider as much as the system. Primary care today is a Rube Goldberg machine of hoops and requirements for doctors as well as patients, and not very much of it actually helps either of them. That's why ThriveMed isn't part of that system. We make our own rules based on what's best for your family, how to accomplish that, and how to do so as affordably as possible.
That's how we can have one hour appointments, text/email communication, and same day attention. It seems counterintuitive that paying out of pocket in addition to your insurance can actually save you money, but it's true. You're paying to get care, not avoid care.
Everyone needs healthcare - even if simple "maintenance" or another set of trained eyes looking for things to improve upon. Please don't forgo your personal health because of an onerous system. Get that mammogram or colonoscopy done. Check your cholesterol and vitamin D levels. We invest more in maintaining our cars than we do our bodies. That needs to change!
Here if you need us,
