Eaton’s humidity sensor and fan control device is a single pole humidity sensor designed to control the humidity level in a room. The device helps to prevent mold and mildew by detecting and removing moisture in the air, providing a more comfortable environment. The sensor detects excess humidity in damp areas, such as bathrooms, laundry rooms or spas, then activates the ventilation fan to control the humidity level. The sensor automatically turns the fan off when the humidity level has dropped to a comfortable level–no need to manually turn it off–helping to save energy.

Does your project call for cat 6a cables? Select the right box for the job.

Cat 6a cables are heavier and less flexible than their counterparts and require a larger outlet box to help ensure the minimum bend radius.
Eaton offers the Crouse-Hinds series 5” steel square outlet box to meet the requirements for cat 6a cables and painted boxes. This solution provides a larger cubic capacity of 67 cubic inches and id designed to accommodate cat 5, 5e, 6 and 6A cables, as well as Rigid/IMC cables and EMT conduit. These boxes are stocked in a natural finish, red for fire applications and blue for data and communications.

With the low temperatures, we need to issue a reminder on cold weather handling of 600 volt building wire products (primarily THHN).
Note that all wire manufacturers tend to see some instances of insulation issues as cold weather sets in.
