Unicef at UCM Join the movement !

The UNICEF club at UC Merced is a group of activist student leaders that advocate the survival of children by volunteering, educating, and working with the Merced community to fundraise money for organization of UNICEF. United Nations Children’s Fund, also known as UNICEF, was created in 1946 by the United Nations General Assembly to provide healthcare and food assistance to children in countries that were affected by World War II. Today UNICEF is a worldwide known organization that its mission is to aid children and mothers with humanitarian and developmental assistance worldwide. With the help of educating, volunteer service work and fundraising UNICEF is able to aid to children by providing immunization vaccinations, education for any age or gender, prevention of HIV/AIDS, and protecting children’s right. Working in over 150 countries, UNICEF provides children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, protection, emergency relief, and more
