Part Time Job Opening - Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. Able Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine in Mercer Island is looking for a part time receptionist/administrative assistant. We are looking to hire a candidate who has attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and has a self-motivated personality. This position requires a strong sense of organization and ability to follow directions. The receptionist is responsible for maintaining accurate client information, payment information, and for scheduling patients. A welcoming personality is a must, as this position is the first point of contact in the office and the last person the patient sees as they leave.
This position is available starting anytime in May 2024. The office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Wednesday off.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Check in and check out patients
• Process co-payments and insurance payments
• Check insurance benefits for patients
• Create new patient files and collect proper new patient forms
• Process and send insurance claims, including 1500 forms
• Maintain cleanliness of lobby and acupuncture rooms
• Prepare rooms for patients
• Compile, sort, and file records
• Follow up on insurance claims that require extra attention
• Track and follow-up with patients on past-due accounts
• Answer telephone and emails, schedule patients, and send appointment reminders
Qualifications:
• Experience in a medical environment is a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of WordPress a plus
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous customer service experience
Salary:
$20-25 per hour, includes two free acupuncture treatments per month. Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview.
