Hey everyone!!! Excellent news: Our school came in second place in our bracket, raising a grand total of $653.44 throughout The Storytellers Campaign. I can not express in words how ecstatic this number makes me. Every bit of what we raised has been sent back to To Write Love On Her Arms to help with people suffering with depression, self-harm, addiction, and su***de. Thank you /so much/ for all you have done. Great job, everyone.

Hey everyone, sorry no recent updates have been posted, we've been busy raising money [:
We were profitable last night at the JB Boys' Pageant selling Disastrous Desserts cupcakes, but the exact amount has yet to be determined.
Furthermore, yesterday was National Survivors of Su***de Day, and thoughts of healing and consolation go out to all of the families and people impacted by su***de.
Next week, after Thanksgiving break, more activities will be held during lunches.
I appreciate all of your support and look forward to continuing this campaign with each and every one of you.

Today was the final day of the October spirit week, as you all know. Thank you for all of the participation and support, we had an excellent and successful week. Tonight at the football game cupcakes will be sold to raise additional funds for To Write Love On Her Arms. The cupcakes were donated by Disastrous Deserts, a business owned by student Justine Staniszewski. This will also be the last opportunity for the purchase of The Storytellers silicone bracelets, so if you would still like to purchase one, but have not had the opportunity to do so, they will be sold during the game and the cost is $5. All proceeds will be sent directly back to the organization to raise funds for treatment and awareness for those suffering with depression, self-harm, addiction, and su***de.

Thank you all very, very much for the participation, enthusiasm, and support this week. This could not have been a successful campaign without all of your help and I really appreciate it. Stay tuned for more updates and information about upcoming events!

Today the Fears vs. Dreams event had an excellent turnout! I noticed many people wearing black and white and tons of people flooded to the table to fill out the Fears vs. Dreams sheet after the announcement was made to do so, which is really appreciated. With the permission of the students to potentially be used in the blog, I have uploaded many pictures to this page in an album titled “Fears vs. Dreams Day 10/18”. If your picture is shown and you wish to have it removed, simply send a message with your request, and your picture will be taken down immediately upon receiving the message.

Tomorrow is the last day of the October Spirit Week, and the goal is to wear any To Write Love On Her Arms gear that you have, including The Storytellers bracelets that were sold at lunch this week! If you do not have any To Write gear, then you should simply wear something that you feel is inspirational. Since tomorrow is also pink out, wear your shirt for breast cancer awareness if you have no To Write gear!

Keep in mind that this campaign functions on a two-month term basis, so even though spirit week is coming to a close, more events are to be held to raise awareness for this cause. Tomorrow is the last day to buy a silicone The Storytellers bracelet, so if you have not gotten one already, do not forget to bring your $5. Thank you again for your support, you rock!

Story day was great today, many people participated and that’s awesome! I took a few pictures, so if you’re interested definitely check them out in the album I created. We also received a lot more donations, so that is excellent too. Thank you everyone!
Reminder that silicone bracelets are being sold through Friday, so be sure to bring your $5 to purchase one before the end of the week. Also, tomorrow is Fears vs. Dreams Day, so wear black and white! More information will be given tomorrow morning on the announcements regarding this special day, so make sure to listen. You guys are all super awesome and I honestly really appreciate all of the support.

The spirit event for today was Color Day, and I was very impressed by the amount of participation! It was super awesome to see everyone raising awareness by wearing the appropriate colors for the specific issues. Also, despite the fact that no one from 4th or 6th period lunch utilized chalk drawing day, 8th period had a great turn out and the back courtyard was very inspirational by the end of the day. A special thank you to Tyler Gochenauer for taking the initiative to begin the chalk drawing 8th period.

Reminder that tomorrow is Your Story Day- Wear clothing that you feel represents you or something you enjoy, such as a favorite sports team or musical group. Please ensure that what you decide to wear is school appropriate. Moreover, please be aware of the fact that this creates talking points between you and others, so take this opportunity to observe what is important to your classmates and to talk about what you appreciate! Thank you so much for everyone's participation.
