Our therapists Michelle Dela Rosa, Rosalind Cox-Larrieux, and Shraddha Wagh were thrilled to present the "6 Myths during the prenatal and postpartum period" in our Brick location.

Some key points: back pain during pregnancy can and should be treated to prepare for delivery, exercising too soon postpartum can be harmful rather than healing, and urinary leakage at any time is never normal!

It was amazing to be a part of empowering dialogue and discuss topics that made people curious!

Have you ever made too many New Year’s resolutions? Sometimes things spin so out of control during the holidays that there’s too many things to fix! Or the laundry list is full of things we didn’t get to complete (or start) in 2022. Maybe it’s time to just pick one thing and focus our efforts. Me, I’m going to stretch more. Well, technically I’m stretching all day when I’m with patients, but that’s not the same as stretching for myself. One of my favorites is starfish pose, shown beautifully by our own Marzena Bard, PTA.- check out a video on our blog at https://www.connectpt.org/blog

Some of the most mininformation we see is about endometriosis and leg pain. Too many assume it is only coming from their o***y or that endometriosis and adenomyosis is the culprit for all the leg pain. Sometimes it is and sometimes its not and sometimes it takes a specialist in the nerves to understand how the endometriosis might be affecting you.
This week on Endo Summit Live we are tackling
😳Hernia
😳Vascular Compression
😳Leg Burning
😳Groin Pain
😳Weakness in the legs
😳Pain with walking and exercise
😳Leg pain after or during menstruation
😳Leg and groin pain during ovulation
😳Gnawing pain in the sides of your abdominal wall
😳Swelling in your legs

We are joined by Dr Nicholas Fogelson, who specializes in Neuropelvicology, and Dr Mark Zoland, a New York Hernia Specialist. Joining us will also be Physical Therapist, Dr Amanda Olson. Nicholas Fogelson - Physician

Lots of pain that people assume are the reproductive organs can really be from nerve compressions or vascular compressions or even muscular compressions elsewhere in the body that are aggravated by menstruation and ovulation. As we always say, that o***y pain often isn't the o***y. So many GYNs think every pain below the belly button must be a reproductive organ but this webinar will discuss, in depth, what else it could be.
What are your questions for our physical therapists and doctors?

Did you know HOW you drink your water can influence your bladder habits?

Research from Canada is showing sipping your water slowly instead of chugging it down, lowers urine excretion by 6x. This helps your body better absorb water to keep you hydrated and DOES NOT increase the number of trips to the bathroom. Click the link below for access to a research article showing this.

This week try to sip slowly and see how it changes your habits!
