Check out this week's MyNetDiary transformation ⤵️

“Since September 2021, I’ve lost 103 lbs, and completely changed my life.”

I’ve struggled with my weight my entire adult life. After getting COVID-19 last year — an experience that nearly killed me because of my health — I knew things had to change. At 57, I wasn’t getting any younger, and I wanted a future I could feel good about.

That’s when I found MyNetDiary.

I started with the free version, upgraded to Premium, and haven’t looked back. Tracking my food, learning what I was actually eating, and having all the info in one place made the process finally click for me.

What helped me the most?

• Daily logging
• Re-learning my eating habits
• Lots of walking
• My e-bike (a lifesaver for my arthritic knees!)
• Seeing real data that kept me accountable

My life is completely different now. My energy is better, my mental health has improved, and my confidence is the highest it’s ever been. I even had to buy a whole new wardrobe — and genuinely enjoyed every minute of it.

MyNetDiary has been instrumental in all of this.
It’s not just an app — it’s part of my life now.”

You don’t need to reinvent your latkes, but if you want a lighter twist this year, these healthier toppings keep all the classic flavor. 🥔✨

Here are some additional ways to keep the tradition and feel good after eating them:

• Use less oil: Pan-fry in a thin layer instead of deep-frying.

• Try an air fryer: Still crispy, way less fat.

• Mix in veggies: Zucchini, carrot, or cauliflower lighten the texture without changing the taste.

• Go half-and-half: Use half potatoes, half onions for more volume and fiber.

• Swap the topping: Greek yogurt, applesauce, herbs, or pickled veggies add flavor without extra calories.

Whether you’re keeping it classic or trying a lighter twist, latkes can absolutely fit into a balanced Hanukkah week. 💙✨

Save this post to try a healthier version this year!

Every culture has its comfort foods and this time of year, those traditions show up everywhere.

Here’s your reminder:

You can honor your traditions AND take care of your health.
It’s not one or the other.

No matter what you celebrate, here are simple ways to feel good all week:

• Enjoy the traditional foods, mindfully, not fearfully
A few bites or a small portion still gives you the memory and meaning.

• Add something fresh or light to the table
Veggies, lean protein, or a lighter side can balance a heavier meal.

• Choose one “non-food” habit to anchor your week
A walk, gratitude practice, journaling, or a few minutes of deep breathing.

• Slow down and actually taste your food
You’ll feel satisfied sooner and enjoy it more.

• Focus on connection, not perfection
Traditions are about people, not calories.

Healthy doesn’t mean skipping the foods you love, it means showing up for yourself in small, meaningful ways.

You’ve got this. 💙💚

Compromises needed to be made.

Make sure you aren't having any 💩 troubles this holiday season. Check out these Easy Herbed Flax Crackers:

10 min prep
20 min cooking
30 servings total
239g weight
20 cals/serving

Make gluten-free, low-carb crackers at home with just six ingredients.

- 6 ingredients -

1 cup Flaxseed Ground
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Garlic powder
2 tsp Italian seasoning dried
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Water

- 10 steps -

1. Preheat oven to 350F.

2. Mix ground flaxseed, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt in a medium bowl.

3. Add water, and stir to combine. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.

4. Form a ball of dough with your hands. Add more flaxseed if the dough sticks to your hands.

5. Place the ball of dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper. With a rolling pin, roll out into a rectangle, about 1/8 of an inch thick.

6. Remove the top layer of parchment paper. Use a pizza cutter to cut into 30 pieces.

7. Leave the crackers on the bottom piece of parchment paper and place them onto a baking sheet.

8. Place in oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking every few minutes after the first 15 minutes to avoid overbaking. Crackers should be crisp and golden brown.

9. Remove from oven and allow to cool on a rack.

10. Enjoy with your favorite dip or spread! Store remainder in an airtight container.

Tip:
To make 30 crackers, cut the dough to make 6 equal rows on the long side of the pan and 5 equal rows on the short side of the pan.
