It’s Dr J Day!

Here are a few fun facts about Dr. J:
💜Her favorite color is purple (isn’t it obvious?)
🩺She wanted to be a pediatrician when she was growing up.
⛑️ She’s now a certified mental health first aid instructor (its like CPR, but for mental health) and will be offering her dirsy course in July🙌🏾
🚫She hates onions (but cooks with them 🤔)

If you’ve met me, you met my mom. The fighter, the problem solver, the caregiver, the leader and even the volume (lol) … I got it from my Momma.
I would not be the woman I am today if it weren’t for her. Happy Birthday to the very first SuperWoman I ever knew. 💜

was amazing! I had the honor of co-facilitating a session on leadership with some amazing women who made sharing space so easy (and that’s not -unfortunately- always the case). Jeanne, Shayna, and Vernicca are true gems!

I also had the distinct pleasure to meet co-founder of Eleanor Health and the epitome of ‘Black Girl Magic’ for sure. We cut up soooooooo bad during the book signing and then my Navy baby FaceTimed me and she told him to get in the pic too … lol

I also got to meet - my sister from another mister. She doesn’t know it (she will when she sees this) but her kindness (and validation of my efforts to be properly addressed as Dr. J) helped calm my anxious brain so that I could better focus on my presentation. That and the fact that we both like to cut up … lol

killed as per usual. That pic of her presenting? That’s my favorite face/pose. You KNOW she’s about to give it to you when she leans on the podium, adjusts the frames, and then leans in🤣🤣🤣🤣 LOVE IT!

Aaaand you know I gotta take a coffee pic at every conference - fueling up is important! lol
