Today, we welcomed community leaders, partners, and colleagues to MidState Medical Center for an exciting first look at our new state-of-the-art 16‑bed inpatient unit!

Designed with patients and families at the heart, this new space enhances comfort, supports healing, and expands our ability to deliver the high-quality care our community deserves.

This investment reflects our long‑term promise to meet the growing health care needs of families across the region — ensuring world‑class care remains close to home.

Guests enjoyed brief remarks and guided tours of the new unit, and we can’t wait for our community to experience it once it officially opens.

We’re proud to welcome two new Mamava Lactation Pods at MidState Medical Center, providing colleagues, patients and visitors with private, comfortable spaces to breastfeed or pump.

These secure pods offer convenience, comfort and peace of mind—helping nursing parents feel supported while continuing to care for themselves and their families. It’s another meaningful way we’re strengthening family-centered care for our community.

What started as a fun idea has become a beloved tradition — one that reminds us that a little kindness can brighten the entire hospital.

Members of our public safety crew and several other festive colleagues turned their annual holiday rounding at MidState Medical Center into smiles, high-fives and plenty of laughter for patients and colleagues.

Spirit of Giving spreads joy!

We’re grateful to have taken part in this year’s Spirit of Giving campaign alongside first responders from Hunter’s Ambulance and local Meriden organizations.

For the fifth year, Hunter’s Ambulance partnered with the City of Meriden to continue this meaningful tradition — bringing police, fire, paramedics, EMTs and community partners together to brighten the holidays for families in need.

Recently, teams went door to door delivering gifts to six Meriden families, spreading holiday cheer and reminding us all of the power of community.
