Wednesday was about more than a rally. It was about dignity.
MidState Arc attended the 2026 Nonprofit Rally Day at the CT State Capitol, and we walked away with full hearts and renewed resolve.
The crowd of at least 2,000 people... our “nonprofit army”... was loud, proud, and impossible to overlook. We saw self-advocates, DSPs, families, and allies standing shoulder to shoulder, saying “Fund our mission. Value our people.”
Governor Lamont came out to speak to those on the South Lawn. That’s not an accident. That’s what happens when we refuse to be invisible.
To every MidState Arc supporter who drove down, took time off work, or held a sign: thank you. To those who had to leave early: you were still part of this victory.
We’ll keep advocating with compassion and with fire.
