1:15 p.m. (MT) We want to hear from you:
What’s been your biggest challenge related to your disability in the last year?
If you were able to change something to improve the lives of Idahoans with disabilities, what would it be?
What changes could Centers for Independent Living or other disability programs make to better support people with disabilities?
Help us understand how your community is serving people in regard to:
Housing
Transportation, including sidewalks, curb cuts, bike routes
Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS)
Healthcare, including access to providers and health insurance (public or private)
Education, job training and employment
Recreation, community access, other areas impacting Idahoans with disabilities.
Other worries, concerns or issues?
Help us determine where to direct Independent Living resources to improve opportunities for Idahoans with disabilities to live in and actively engage with their community with the support they need.
2:20 p.m. (MT) Wrap up: We’ll share information about the Centers, the SILC and the State
Plan and how you can be more involved in the Independent Living movement.
