This week I got to practice what I preach and support my village. My sweet sis in law had a baby this month and I came to spend some time with her and take care of her a little bit.
Cristina is an amazing mother and doesn’t need a lot of help taking care of her household, but I’m so glad she was vulnerable enough to let me in and let me help.
Some ideas of ways you can support a new mother
-wash dishes
-run the the grocery store
-make her a plate of food
-take out the trash
-clean the bathroom
-wash her sheets and freshen up her bed
-vaccuum, sweep and mop
-take older siblings to the park or library
-help with bed time routines.

I love watching you become a mother. That moment that you make eye contact with that fresh new baby is magic. Happy Mother’s Day to all my clients who celebrate their first time around the son with their new babies.

I've opened a few more Wisdom Keeper classes up on my website. This class is for your tween girls 9-12 years old. Each class is about 2 hours long. One of my favorite aspects of being a doula is experiencing the serenity of the nighttime hours. I appreciate waking up when the world is at rest and witnessing the beauty of nature unfold. I love observing stunning sunrises and peaceful rainfalls while supporting a woman as she navigates her most significant challenge is truly rewarding. I find it deeply fulfilling. My heart is full.
Had the honor of supporting my friend Sharinia as a back up doula this weekend. I saw many miracles and I’m so blessed.

Spent a beautiful day with a beautiful client celebrating her journey from maidenhood to motherhood. My friend Kate and I are offering Bone Closing ceremonies to anyone wanting to give it a try. It’s a very special way to bring closure to your birth journey.

I had a vision today of two mothers; one brand new and the other a veteran. They both sat facing each other hands in hands, and leaning in toward each other. The new mother whispered “I’m scared, I’m not sure what I’m doing and I’m afraid I’ll do it wrong”. The veteran mother wrapped her arms around her and hugged her tight. “You’ll never be alone, and all you need to know is love.”
