Tonight's the Night!
Join us this evening at the Meridian Museum of Art for Canvases for Cancer. The event kicks off at 5 pm and features honorary chair, Rosemary Kahlmus. Rosemary has donated sixteen works for this worthy cause. Local and regional artists have also donated many wonderful works. Proceeds benefit the Anderson Regional Cancer Center. The silent auction ends at 7 pm, so come early and place your bids on one or more of the featured artworks.

Marsha is a professional educator who brings her passion for art to our community by serving on the Meridian Museum of Art Board and the Meridian Museum Art Collective. Thank you, Callie for donating your piece called “My Journey.” Callie explains, “This piece represents my experience with cancer. My dad, Dr. Sonny Rush, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in April of 2021. To say my world was rocked is an understatement. My rock and hero, my everything, was taken from me. I’m still working on my journey. It’s okay, though, it’s a process. And, art is my healing process. I have been inspired through butterflies because they signify endurance, hope, and power to change. Orange for AML. Blue for peace.”
