Here Is an important reminder for those who are able to attend the Vital Event in Boise on January 12th. During the upcoming Legislative session, the population we serve faces a very real and imminent threat of losing Medicaid funding for critical services. All developmental disability services are at risk of being significantly reduced or potentially eliminated entirely.

The consequences of these proposed cuts would be profound and devastating, not only for the individuals who rely on these supports for their daily lives, dignity, and independence, but also for their families, caregivers, and entire support systems. The magnitude of the harm that would result is difficult to fully comprehend.

🎃 Meridian City Hall Trunk or Treat Was a Hit! 👻

What an incredible evening! A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us for a night full of fun, laughter, spooky excitement, and plenty of sweet treats! 🍬 The creativity in costumes and trunk decorations was amazing, and the smiles from families, kids and our amaxing participants made it all worth it.

Description
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Staff to join our team in empowering adults with disabilities to lead self-directed lives. This role focuses on providing assistance and encouragement to participants, helping them maintain good hygiene standards and stimulating mental alertness through engaging conversations and individualized activities.

- Split Shift Fri/Sat 7a-3p, Sun/Mon 3p-11p

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist participants in establishing a daily schedule for household duties and activities of daily living.

- Instruct participants in learning and re-learning household duties.

- Engage in conversation, companionship, and other activities to foster social interaction.

- Assist participants in traveling to and from community activities and appointments.

- Teach participants money management skills to promote financial independence.

- Facilitate the development of friendship and relationship skills.

- Provide training on safety skills to ensure participant well-being.

- Assist participants with behavior management as needed.

- Maintain current CPR certification and first aid training.

- Successfully complete all required paid training programs.

- Maintain current and accurate clinical records.

- Provide personal care as required by participants.

Qualifications:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with participants and their families.

- Patience and empathy in supporting individuals with diverse needs.

- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Ability to pass a background check
