What's happening in the world of PBM reform?

With the passing of California SB-41, independent pharmacies in California are preparing for a positive change.

Other states, like Ohio, aren’t far behind.

For too long, PBMs have been allowed to take advantage of independent pharmacies with opaque pricing structures, preferential treatment for corporate partners, and predatory rebate practices.

New state-level legislation aims to finally regulate these fiduciary giants and codify transparency, fair competition, and accountability into the PBM system.

We’re keeping an eye on these developments (and what they mean for independent pharmacies nationwide).
