NINE YEARS WITH LIMITLESS
I wanted to take a minute to recognize someone who quietly but consistently has been one of the pillars of this place.
Josh is celebrating 9 years with Limitless.
Nine years. In the life of a business, and especially in our field, that kind of commitment says a lot about a person. Josh holds the distinction of being the longest tenured employee Limitless has ever had, and that alone tells you something about his loyalty, his character, and the role he has played in helping shape who we are today.
When I think about Josh, the first words that come to mind are dependable, steady, and loyal. As a manager, as an LCPC, and as a teammate, he has always been someone we can count on. He shows up, he does the work, he supports his team, and he does it without needing a spotlight. In a profession where consistency and integrity matter as much as skill, Josh has always delivered both.
Now here is a number that really puts things in perspective. Since the day Josh started with Limitless he has completed approximately 17,428 client appointments. Yes, you read that right. Seventeen thousand four hundred twenty eight sessions.
If you do the math, that is the equivalent of running about eight appointments every single day for nine straight years if he never took a single day off. No weekends, no vacations, no sick days. Since we all know Josh does occasionally leave the office and spend time with his family, that means his actual daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly numbers are even higher than that. In other words, there are thousands of lives that have been touched, helped, and supported because Josh chose to show up and do this work day after day.
In addition to his clinical work, Josh has also invested an incredible amount of time into helping build and support the team around him. Over the years he has completed more than 4,320 hours of management and supervision. That is thousands of hours spent mentoring clinicians, reviewing cases, guiding new counselors, helping staff grow professionally, and making sure that the quality of care we provide at Limitless continues to meet the highest standards. Those hours represent countless conversations, training moments, problem solving sessions, and leadership decisions that have helped shape not only individual clinicians but the overall professionalism and strength of our organization. Because of Josh’s commitment to supervision and leadership, many counselors here have been able to grow their skills, develop confidence, and ultimately provide better care to the clients and families we serve.
Outside of work, Josh is first and foremost a great husband and father to three boys, which I suspect is the real reason he is so good at managing chaos with a calm face. Anyone raising three boys deserves a medal, or at the very least a very good drink.
Speaking of drinks, if you have ever talked with Josh for more than five minutes, you know he has a bit of a reputation as the in house mixologist. Specialty drinks, creative concoctions, and apparently a home bar that probably deserves its own Yelp page. If Limitless ever opens a counseling lounge, I am fairly certain Josh is already qualified to run it.
He also makes time for what matters most, spending time with his family and making the trip back to Kentucky whenever he can. Kentucky may have sent him west, but they clearly made sure he brought the good stuff with him, strong values, a good sense of humor, and just enough southern charm to keep the rest of us in line.
For those who do not know the full story of how Josh and Limitless found each other, it really is one of those moments in life that feels like it was meant to happen. Where he was in life at the time, and where we were as a company, the timing lined up in a way that still feels like pure serendipity. Looking back now, I cannot imagine Limitless without him being part of the story.
On a personal note, I could not be more proud to call Josh a colleague, a leader in our organization, and most importantly a friend. He has helped build the culture we have today, and he has done it with humility, dedication, and a steady presence that has meant more than he probably realizes. I am incredibly grateful for Josh, both as a person and for the dedication he has shown to Limitless over the years. The truth is, words could never fully express the level of gratitude I have for him, the work he has put in, the people he has helped, and the example he continues to set every single day.
So tonight, or sometime this weekend, I encourage everyone to raise a glass for Josh. Whether it is one of his famous specialty drinks or just whatever you have handy, take a moment to celebrate nine years of loyalty, leadership, and friendship.
"Josh, thank you for everything you have given to Limitless over the past nine years. We are better because you are here."
Congratulations, my friend.
