Yesterday, Physician Assistant Sam spoke to the Oregon House Committee on Healthcare in a panel put together by Oregon Right to Life to oppose Bill HR 4127.
As Oregon considers legislation aimed at backfilling Planned Parenthood after federal Medicaid changes, Sam encouraged board members to thoughtfully direct funding toward healthcare organizations that truly serve women and families with real comprehensive, life-affirming care.
She spoke on Stanton’s impact in Oregon through our Stanton Mobile Clinic. She shared how deeply needed compassionate, high quality women’s healthcare is in rural communities like Ontario, and how Stanton is already providing many of these non abortion services right in that area at no charge to clients.
Her message was simple and hopeful. Women in rural communities do have options other than Planned Parenthood. Clinics like Stanton are present, accessible, and committed to providing excellent medical care, education, and support without compromising human dignity.
We are grateful for Sam’s leadership, her professionalism, and her heart for women across Oregon and Idaho. Conversations like these matter, and we are honored to be at the table.
