Did you know that there are four different types of stress?
Shocking, we know — try not to stress about it too much ;)
The four types of stress are…
1) Emotional — such as anger, fear, guilt, and shame.
2) Mental — such as perfectionism, anxiety, and worry.
3) Physical — such as poor nutrition, physical exhaustion, and lack of sleep.
4) Psycho-Spiritual — such as lack of spiritual connection and relationship challenges.
Stress is a natural part of life — but too much of it can cause all kinds of health issues.
So what can we do about it?
We recommend taking a holistic approach to managing stress. Holistic stress management involves nourishing different parts of ourselves and our lives.
Here’s what that may look like:
-Getting adjusted to help your nervous system function at its best.
-Staying hydrated and eating nutritious foods.
-Creating connections and socializing with friends.
-Exercising regularly and getting proper rest.
-Practicing mindfulness and meditation to regulate the nervous system.
-Journaling and tracking habits.
