Today we were treated by the Orchard Park Library to a personal tour of the Lion King Broadway display of some of their beautiful Masks & Puppets that will be in their show this month at the Morrison Center. Most of their masks were hand carved out of wood, and hand painted.
Thank you Gabby our amazing Librarian for giving us such a wonderful tour, full of interesting facts, stories, and laughs. After we toured the exhibit, she took us into one of her reading rooms, and we got a private reading of the Lion King. Gabby is an amazing story teller. Our residents loved learning about the Lion King story, costumes, and heritage.

We had a great day with movement & motion to start off our excersising class, and then yoga & meditation at the end. Eve...

Celebrated Groundhog Day today with a reading of "Groundhug Day" by our wonderful volunteer, Susan to include some trivia and snacks. Following the book reading, residents did some Groundhog word searches and after lunch we watch the movie "Groundhog Day" and enjoyed popcorn and soda... All things Groundhog today!! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, soooo.... 6 more weeks of winter it is!! ❄️
