Meridian Eye Care is a full service eye and vision care provider and will take walk-ins, eye emergencies, and scheduled appointments. Meridian Eye Care also offers a full service optical department, which carries the top brands in prescription eyewear, sunglasses, and safety eyewear. Patients throughout the Meridian area come to Meridian Eye Care because they know they will receive the personal attention and professional care that is our foundation. Our team of knowledgeable optometrist and staff are dedicated to keeping our patients comfortable and well-informed at all times. At Meridian Eye Care, we will explain every exam and procedure and answer all of our patient's questions. Additionally, at Meridian Eye Care, we will work with vision and medical insurance providers to ensure good eye health and vision care for all of our patients. Meet our doctors: Audrey Thompson Otto, OD Dr. Audrey Thompson Otto is a native of Meridian, MS. She completed her undergraduate studies at Meridian Community College and Mississippi College with a degree in biological science. She then went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Otto completed a residency in Family Practice Optometry where she was trained in caring for patients of all ages and a variety of ocular diseases. While attending UAB she was involved with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists where she met her husband, Dr. David Otto. She is excited to be practicing in her hometown and looks forward to caring for her neighbors. David Otto, OD Dr. David Otto is a native of Atlanta, GA and completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Georgia. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Otto was also involved with Fellowship of Christian Optometrists during his time at UAB, as well as the vice president of his class. He is an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. In his free time, Dr. Otto enjoys outdoor pursuits. He and his wife are looking forward to meeting and providing excellent care to you and your family. Jacob Ivey, OD Dr. Ivey is originally from Quitman, MS. He received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of West Alabama, and his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006. As a student of UABSO, he was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, American Optometric Association, Fellowship of Christian Optometrist and Student Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity. Upon graduation, Dr. Ivey received the VSP Excellence in Primary Care Award, Gas Permeable Contact Lens Award, University of Alabama at Birmingham Deans Award and the BSK Honors Award for highest GPA. He earned Diplomate status from the American Board of Optometry in 2014. He and his wife, Audrey, currently reside in the Clarkdale community. Dr. Ivey enjoys fishing, hunting and landscaping in his spare time. He and Audrey have two children, Paisley and Asher.
