Gross Eye Centers, where we provide a complete range of eye care services, including evaluations, surgery and treatment in Merrillville and Hobart, Indiana.

At Deen-Gross Eye Centers, we are committed to providing our patients with professional, fast and reliable eye care services, along with relaxing consultations and examinations. We strive to offer the best patient care around and our doctors are always available to discuss any medical concerns. We first opened our doors in 1973 and have since grown to have two locations in Merrillville, Indiana an

d one in Hobart, Indiana. We welcome new patients of all ages and believe strongly in putting the patient first. Here are just a few of our specialties:
Cataract Evaluations & Surgery
Comprehensive Eye Exams
Eyelid Surgery
Full Service Optical Care
General Ophthalmology
Glaucoma Diagnosis & Treatment
Laser Vision Correction (LASIK)

We also provide ReSTOR and Toric Intraocular Lens implants. Our in-office laser eye surgery is offered as a means of treating secondary cataracts and glaucoma, as well as certain retinal diseases. Patients with diabetes are carefully monitored for onset or progressive diabetic retinopathy. We are a participating Medicare provider and work with most medical health plans within Northwest Indiana.

It's Centenarian Saturday!! This past Wednesday we were fortunate to have a great visit in the office with Bev, today is her birthday!!
Happy 100!!!! Dr. Gross will be representing our office at her 100th birthday party today. We learn so much about people and about life by listening to the wonderful stories of our special patients. We all wish Bev a happy celebration and many more happy and healthy days ahead.

Joyce blessed us today coming in for an office visit! She turned 101 this past November and is doing fantastic!! We cherish all of our patients and really celebrate seeing all the centenarians.

Thelma is 100.5 years old and came to see us for an exam on Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas to Thelma and all of our patients and our staff! We will be closed at 1:00 today 12/24 and all day on 12/25 to allow our staff to be with their families. Emergency services will be available through our 24/7 answering service.

Thelma, the last patient of the day turned 100!! 3 weeks ago.
She always shares great stories and has an incredible spirit for life!!

Our days at the office sure are rewarding!!
Today Dr. Gross had the opportunity to see and visit with Myrtle, she turned 101 yesterday and shared her celebration stories! This is why we work so hard, life is truly a blessing 🙏🏻

Happy veterans day to all who have served our great nation. Here at the Deen-Gross Eye Centers we appreciate our freedom and those who fought for all of us. We were blessed to have Walter in the office a couple of days and he shared his experience in the south pacific during WWII. He's 96 years old.

We were blessed to see Joyce in the office today, two days after she celebrated her 100th birthday!!!
She is amazing and full of life and good health. It really lights up our lives.

Today was a fantastic day at the office. We celebrated a couple of our centenarians with a party. We had two beautiful people who both turned 100 years old this past year. Myrtle and Ann had a blast with our staff and enjoyed meeting each other. We shared an afternoon of snack and stories. It was an incredibly uplifting day!
