🎨 Tie-Dye Spirit Day at Active Day Merrillville! 🌈

We brought the color and the cheer this Friday! From vibrant swirls to soft pastels, our members and staff showed off their creative side for Tie-Dye Spirit Day. It was a celebration of self-expression, unity, and summer fun. Just look at these smiles—and those shirts! 💫✨

August at Active Day Merrillville is all about sunshine, smiles, and sweet summer memories. From tropical Luau vibes to root beer floats, banana pudding, and our much-anticipated Annual Carnival—we’re soaking up every golden moment together!

👟 Wellness is our theme! From movement to mindfulness, we’re embracing National Wellness Month with laughter, creativity, and community connection.

💅 Polished & Proud at Active Day! 💅

Our lovely ladies of Active Day Merrillville were all smiles and sparkle during today’s Ladies Circle! With the help of our amazing PA Toni, each woman received a relaxing manicure—and the results were fabulous! 💖✨

From pretty pinks to bold berry shades, our queens picked their perfect colors and enjoyed a little pampering, laughter, and friendship along the way. Because self-care never goes out of style. 💅👑

🎨👕 Tie-Dye Time at Active Day! 👕🎨

Our center burst with color, creativity, and laughter during our recent Tie-Dye Day—and just look at those vibrant designs! 🌈✨

From swirling patterns to bold splashes of color, each member added their own flair and personality to their masterpiece. This hands-on activity brought out smiles, conversation, and a few “oohs” and “ahhs” as the shirts came to life!

We can’t wait to see everyone wearing their one-of-a-kind creations soon! 💫💜💛

🎨 Art in Action at Active Day! 🎨

We broke out the brushes and painter’s tape for a little creativity boost during our Tape Block Painting session—and the results were stunning! 🌈🖌️

Using tape to create bold geometric patterns, our members blended colors, textures, and imagination to bring each canvas to life. This project was all about expression, fun, and discovering how a few simple lines can create a masterpiece!

👏 Great job to all our artists—your work brightened the whole room!

🍧 Friday Feels with Kona Ice ! 🍧

What better way to cool off and kick off the weekend than with a Shaved Ice Social? Our members were all smiles as the Kona Ice truck rolled in, bringing refreshing treats, bright flavors, and a whole lot of joy! 💙🍒🍍

From classic blue raspberry to rainbow swirls, everyone picked their favorite flavors and soaked up the sunshine with friends.

Thank you so much to Kona Ice for helping us make this Friday extra sweet! 😋☀️

🐾🎯 Puppy Love & Hula Hoop Fun! 🎯🐾

We had an absolutely paw-some day at Active Day of Merrillville! 💕 Our friends from Petland stopped by with some cuddly, four-legged visitors that brought so many smiles and heart-melting moments. 🐶💖

Earlier in the day, our members showed off their skills and had a blast with our hula hoop beanbag toss challenge! 🎯💪 The laughter, cheers, and friendly competition filled the room with energy and joy.

There’s nothing like combining playful pups and a little healthy fun to brighten the day. Thank you to everyone who helped make this afternoon so special!

Whether you're looking to understand sundowning, improve communication, or support a loved one living with dementia, these programs provide practical tools, compassionate guidance, and helpful resources.
