🌸💐 Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms, and mother figures out there!

On Friday, we celebrated with our special “Muffins for Mamas” gathering at Active Day Merrillville. There were smiles, sweet treats, beautiful moments, and even roses for every lady thanks to one of our thoughtful members. 🌹🩷

It was such a lovely way to honor the incredible women who give so much love, strength, wisdom, and care every single day. We hope your Mother’s Day is filled with laughter, appreciation, warm hugs, and reminders of just how cherished you are. ✨

🌷💖 Creativity was blooming at Active Day Merrillville this week as we made these beautiful handmade Mother’s Day picture frames!

Our members had so much fun designing their frames with colorful flowers, bows, gems, and lots of love. Every single one turned out unique and special, just like the mothers and loved ones they were created for. 🎨✨

There’s something extra meaningful about a handmade gift made straight from the heart. 💕 We can’t wait for these handmade gifts to brighten someone’s Mother’s Day!

🇲🇽🎉 What a fiesta ❤️💚

Our Cinco De Mayo celebration at Active Day Merrillville was filled with color, creativity, delicious food, and lots of smiles! 🌮🌶️💃

Our members had an amazing time creating beautiful Mexican flag crafts, enjoying tasty tacos with all the toppings, and sipping refreshing strawberry margarita mocktails 🍓✨ The room was bursting with festive energy and bright decorations that made it feel like a little corner of celebration right here at the center!

Thanks to everyone one who helped make the day so special for our members. These moments matter more than words can say 🌵🎶

A new month is here and we are ready to bloom at Active Day Merrillville! 🌱💛

May is full of fun, laughter, and meaningful moments as we continue planting seeds of happiness every day with our members. From festive celebrations to sweet treats and creative activities, we have so much to look forward to!

Looks like our buses have a new lookout… and he’s taking his job very seriously! 👀

This feathered friend stopped by to “watch over” our Active Day buses today, making sure everyone gets where they need to go safely. We’re thinking he might be our newest team member… no training required! 😉

📚✨ Creativity, Community & Connection ✨📚

We had such a wonderful time getting creative together during a special craft activity led by Ms. Melissa from the Lake County Public Library! 💙

Our members enjoyed a relaxing afternoon designing beautiful floral art, sharing conversation, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to stay engaged, creative, and connected.

In celebration of National Library Week, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Lake County Public Library for the incredible programs and resources they bring to our community. 📖

🖤🍻 Men’s Club: Brews & Tattoos Afternoon 🖤🍻

Yesterday our Men’s Club kicked back and enjoyed some well-deserved guy time during our Brews & Tattoos afternoon! 😎

From trying out some fun temporary tattoos to relaxing with NON-alcoholic brews and their favorite tunes, the room was filled with laughs, stories, and plenty of personality 💪✨

Some went bold, some kept it classic but everyone had a great time showing off their new ink!

Moments like these remind us how important connection, laughter, and just enjoying the moment truly are 💙

🌿🎨 A Creative & Sweet Day at Active Day Merrillville! 🍓🍪

Today was full of creativity, laughter, and a little sweetness! Our members spent the morning crafting Beaded Garden Stakes, each one unique, colorful, and ready to brighten up our garden spaces 🌼

In the afternoon, we switched gears and got deliciously creative making our own fruit pizzas 🍓🫐🍇 Topped with fresh fruit and a touch of sweetness, they looked almost too good to eat… almost! 😋 From hands-on crafting to tasty treats, it was a day full of smiles, connection, and creativity 💛

Yesterday we tried something new… reverse coloring! 🎨✨

Instead of coloring inside the lines, our members got creative by drawing their own designs on beautiful watercolor backgrounds, and the results were amazing! Each piece turned into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece 💛

We love exploring new ways to spark creativity and keep things fresh and fun!
