This is why we do the Lullaby Project!

Music is a universal tool that has the ability to heal, calm and connect. Lullabies are one of the earliest ways that humans experience this connection. Lullabies allow for a way to soothe and nurture both parent and baby, as they engage multiple regions of the brain that help reduce stress and lower cortisol levels.

From ancient traditions to modern research, lullabies remain a universal source of comfort 🎶

Yesterday the Senate passed its version of the Reconciliation bill by a vote of 51-50. The bill includes close to $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts, nearly 20% of the federal Medicaid budget and nearly $200 billion in cuts to SNAP food assistance. The bill has gone back to the House of Representatives, and action on the bill is expected to move quickly.

Contact your U.S. Representative to share your concern about these substantial cuts and how they will impact people with disabilities and their families, as well as the direct care staff that support them. Ask them to vote "No" on the Senate bill and continue to work on changes to the bill.

Please call your representatives and ask them to vote NO for Medicaid cuts!!

Urgent Call-to-Action

The U.S. Senate passed the reconciliation bill this morning with Vice President Vance casting the tie-breaking vote. It will now move back to the U.S. House of Representatives for approval.

Despite last minute changes to the Senate Bill, it still includes nearly $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid. Please take this opportunity to contact your U.S. Representative and ask them to reject cuts to Medicaid by voting no on this bill. A House vote may occur within the next 24-36 hours, so please don't delay. Let your voice be heard.

To find the phone number for your U.S. Representative see this link:
https://clerk.house.gov/Members

Or call the U.S. House switchboard: (202) 224-3121 and ask to be connected to your Representative’s office.

✅ Encourage your colleagues, friends, and family to call too—every voice counts!

Thank you!
