✨We often hear the same question from patients: 'Do I have allergies or a sinus infection?' ✨

At CarePointe we use thorough in-office evaluations to determine whether your symptoms are due to allergies or a sinus infection or both.

Diagnosing Allergies

We can perform an allergy test to identify allergies. This can be done via a simple skin prick test or a blood test.

Treating Allergies

Allergy symptoms may be managed with medications.
For long-term allergy relief, there is also the option of sublingual immunotherapy or allergy drops which trains the immune system to be less reactive to allergens. This is a great alternative to allergy shots.

Treating and diagnosing Sinusitis

Saline irrigation, decongestants, nasal sprays, and antihistamine medication can help manage the frustrating symptoms of sinusitis. For patients with chronic sinusitis we have an in office CT that can help with diagnosis and treatment. We may recommend balloon sinuplasty, a minimally invasive procedure that uses a small balloon to widen the sinus openings. This offers relief with minimal discomfort and downtime.

Dr. Josh Park has been with our group since August 2021 — nearly 4.5 years already!

He enjoys the wide variety that ENT offers, from management of ear problems and sinusitis to surgical treatment of thyroid and parotid tumors. Dr. Park also specializes in Inspire therapy for sleep apnea, helping patients find life-changing solutions for better sleep and overall health.

Outside the office, Dr. Park loves college football, traveling, spending time with his dogs, and learning to golf.

Dr. Cmejrek has been a valued member of the CarePointe team for over 20 years, caring for patients of all ages. With extensive experience in sinus evaluation and procedures, he is known for his caring, thoughtful approach and for truly looking at the whole person, not just the symptoms. Outside the office, he enjoys road trips with his family and coaching youth volleyball. We’re proud to have him caring for our patients and families!
