Last night’s Soul Food Dinner was everything — laughter echoing through the building, smooth sounds setting the vibe, plates full of incredible food, and of course… the very best residents. ❤️
But the truth is, moments like this aren’t rare here. This is the rhythm of life at Belvedere: connection, joy, community, and memories being made every single day.
We love sharing these glimpses with you because this is the life we work so diligently to create for our residents; and they deserve nothing less. 💙

There’s just something about Soulfood Night at Belvedere that feeds more than your plate; it feeds your spirit. ❤️✨
Our annual Soulfood Dinner at Belvedere Senior Housing was one for the books! Seeing our residents surrounded by their families, community partners, and even local media reminded me why we do what we do. The laughter was louder, the hugs were tighter, and the love was served hot right alongside the mac & cheese and greens. This is one of our biggest celebrations of the year, and every single person who walked through those doors added flavor to the night. From generations gathered around the table to new friendships being formed over sweet tea; it was beautiful.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, showed love, and helped make this tradition so special. Our hearts (and stomach) are full. 🫶🏽 A special thank you to Stephanie from VNA Hospice NWI for her generous donation to our event.

It was a beautiful night for some soul food! If you didn’t hear from us this afternoon, it’s because we were in a serious food coma at Olive Garden. 🍝😂
Anna, Blanca, and Andrea loaded up the Belvedere bus for a “light little lunch,” and somehow we all left wondering if the restaurant offers a "human-carry-out-service". Endless breadsticks? Accepted the challenge. Pasta portions? Aggressive. Dessert? We don’t remember ordering it… but we handled it responsibly.
At one point we genuinely discussed being rolled back onto the bus. 🚍
In between bites (and unbuttoning top buttons), we played Alphabet Categories — food, names, animals — and let’s just say our residents’ vocabulary is elite. Ivy League energy. Spelling Bee champions. If thinking fast burned calories, we would’ve broken even.
This is what Belvedere life looks like:
Carb-loading like professionals. Laughing until we cry.
Competing over who has the best “Z” animal answer.
And making memories that are better than any take-home box. ❤️
Full plates. Full bus. Full hearts.

Today was all about flavor and fun! This morning, our wonderful Blanca guided our residents in chopping up some fresh salsa ingredients, and we had an exciting taste test to determine the winner. Jalapeños raspberry stole the spotlight with its perfect mix of spice and sweetness! Later in the afternoon, we celebrated the February birthdays of our residents with lively entertainment from Ed Parzygnat and some delicious birthday cake. It was a day filled with joy, community, and, of course, tasty salsa!

What a fantastic Monday Funday at Belvedere Senior House! 🎉 We always love our time together, but today was extra special with a surprise visit from Diesel, the cutest puppy ever! 🐶 Our residents were all smiles, and the joy he brought was contagious. Nothing lifts the spirits like furry friends and good company! Here’s to more paws and good vibes! ❤️

Today at Belvedere Senior Housing, we're celebrating Fat Tuesday in style! 🎉 It's Paczki Day and Mardi Gras, and we've got a whole lineup of festive activities to honor the occasion. Our residents are enjoying delicious traditional pastries and donning colorful masks as we pin our fun Jester! Laughter and joy fill the air as we embrace the spirit of celebration together.
