Some of our pediatric therapists spent the day in a training titled “Building Solutions Through Sensory Integration, Play, and Creativity” with Dr. Paula Simpson OTR/L, MHA, ASDCS. The course focused on the impact sensory play has on improving motor skills, social communication, and overall functional development.
The therapists learned ways to:
✅ implement sensory strategies for improved outcomes and classroom behaviors;
✅ utilize simulation and activities for speech and language development;
✅ enhance treatment approaches for sensory-related challenges;
✅ overcome roadblocks due to sensory-related behaviors impacted by sleep and bed-time routines.
Mrs. Alysa, Ms. Tracie, Mrs. Jennifer, and Mr. Cody are ready to apply this knowledge!
